Starting on Monday and excited! Advice?
So I'm starting the plan on Monday. I'm excited and nervous, but those seem to be normal emotions around here.
My situation is a little odd though. I'm not going to the center to use LA Weight Loss. I've been on the plan before, about 6 or 7 years ago and it worked wonderfully on me. I lost 100+ the first time around. Unfortunately circumstances arose all at the same time to act against my loss. A couple of major deaths in the family, moving across country, becoming a full time college student instead of part time and still remaining a full time employee at a hospital...and in 3 years I gained every last pound back. I could make excuses all day, but it happened and now I'm planning to undo the damage and get back on track.
What I am not doing though is returning to the center. My center is very far away from where I live and I was unimpressed with their pushy attitudes and bad information the first time. I remember asking if sushi and miso would be okay and she told me absolutely not, that it was the worst weight gainer and I should stay away from it entirely if I wanted to succeed. I can't see myself spending the money again for poor advice and car salesman-like attitudes.
All of your wonderful personalities have me hooked on this place. I love reading about your ideas and your hopes. This is a very rewarding community that I am looking forward to being a part of.
I'm going to be doing the Red plan (I did both Red and Purple the first time around) to start off with and I'm feeling pretty confident. If anyone has any advice or food ideas I could try, I'd love to hear it. I'm not a big meat eater, in fact I used to be a strict vegetarian. I detest pork and only just tolerate beef and chicken though I'm hoping to learn some new ways of making chicken that won't turn me off. We'll see.
Thank you all for being so much fun to read.
