Question Good Pedometer

Does anyone know of a good pedometer? I am trying to walk 10,000 steps per day and I have a pedometer that was cheap and doesn't work right.

Thanks all!

Omron HJ-112 is highly recommended by MANY 3FC members. I myself would recommend it to you. I've had mine for about a month now, and I LOVE it!

For Ped users. My concern is the small bumps and bends and turnsd. I have worn one ad it reads all the as a step. Is that how it is supose to work when you use o all day. Some ties when you bend or sit it clicks . Even tho you are not really stepping.. I gueds I just don't know what really counts or not.

I have the Omron as well and it is very accurate. I just counted my steps for about half an hour when I first got it of general moving about the house, and it actually registered a few steps lower. The Omron pedometer doesn't start counting until movement exceeds 4 seconds and then adds the steps retrospectively.

I'm on my second day with the Omron HJ-112 and so far I have been pleased with it.

I had went through breaking three of them and have an annoying 4th one tht just doesn't exsist to me.

My second one would over count by two steps, the 3rd one I bought broke in two hours, and the 4th one was given to me and if you do the slightest jiggle like getting it clipped onto your belt or shorts it was three four steps ahead of your before you start stepping.

I really like this Omron and it doesn't start counting until after 4 seconds which is really a good thing. Even when you start walking after 4 seconds it gets all of your steps counted.

This Omron I can say has been one of my best pedometers because my other pedos are a bit more tender then the omron. My pedos from the past would be to tender or if you bump the wrong way it would count that as a step. This Omron has not done that yet. I haven't seen it budge when I had stomp my foot into a fit about something today, my other pedos would count that fit as a step or two.
