I lost the first 30 lbs in a 5 mo. period, but I needed to lose about 60 lbs to be at the top of my healthy weight range. After that, I went through some health problems and, while I didn't backslide, it was much harder to lose...but even THEN it has been easier to lose weight on LAWL than any other diet for me personally.

I lost the first 14 lbs in about 2 months, but then I plateaued. I believe it is mostly because of my weight training. I second Dairy Fairy saying that this has been the easiest plan to lose weight on that I've tried!!!

I lost 40lb on WW, it took 18 months...the last 30 took 6-7 months, it dropped very fast in the beginning as well, then slowed a lot.

It has taken 14 weeks to lose 23 lbs (DH lost 30). The closer I get to goal it slows down. Like I mentioned before, don't get hung up on the 2 lb/week thing or you'll drive yourself nuts. Many of us have plateaued (sp) but I guess that's normal. LAWL has by far been the best plan for me.

Angelica--you amaze me--that is awesome and you deserve all the kudos in the world! You are definitely the poster child for the "results not typical" byline! What's your secret??

I dont really have a secret.I just know for the first 4 month I was POP.The last month I have been slipping.I have always lost weight really good.I used a 20 gram fat diet. This time that wasnt working so I chose LAWL.I am so happy I did. The counselors are amazed. One of them said about 6 weeks ago that I should be in a commercial.I havent heard anything since about that though. We went to my son dr about 3 weeks ago and the last time he seen me was last november. We walked into his room and he looked down in my son file then all of a sudden he looks up at me and says, OMG you have lost some serious weight!! I just smiled and yeah.He wanted to know how and I said LAWL. He said keep it up cause I look amazing!!He said if he didnt already know who I was he wouldnt have recongized me,I looked like a totally different person!1 I was very .It made my day Ill tell you!!

I think at 160 I will be in a loose 8. 165 is the smallrst I have ever been my adult life.So thats one reason I picked 160 for my goal.LAWL has my ideal weight at 139.I think I will look to thin at that weight since I am big boned. So after I get to 160 I think I am going to shoot for 150.Then once I reach 150 Ill see where I need to go.As long as I weigh 160 I will be happy so I figure if I go to 150 I will have some breathing room for the ups and downs .

I will post before as soon as I can remeber to bring my pic to my mom's.I tried to post other pics though and it says they are too big.I dont know how to make them smaller. So I am hoping the pic I bring from home will be small enough to post once I scan it.In the pic I look HUGE!!I was in a tight 18/20.That was last july. Now I am a 10, some 8's.

That's pretty impressive how well you've done -- you look at your ticker, but it's deceptive because it doesn't show your pre-LAWL weight loss. Good job!

I started Jan 2 and I had the opposite problem as everyone else. In the beginning I couldnt get the weight to come off if my life depended on it. Now within the last week or so I have lost 5lbs. Which is HUGE for me. As Boo said though dont get hung up on the 2lb/week. I did and it drove me nuts. Just stay OP and the weight will come off. The more you have to lose the faster it comes off (So my counselors say) just be patient and it will happen.
