Default Do hot flashes Burn calories?

This might not be the right place to ask this, but just curious if hot flashes burn calories? I haven't been very good this past week, but have had lots of hot flashes and still lost - so am wondering if that could be why.

More information than you wanted to know, huh?

I guess you would burn more calories having a hot flash than if you just were sitting there, but believe me not enough to make any difference in weight loss, at least not to this chickie.

Hi everyone! I'm new here. I was looking up this very subject online and came across this forum.

The replies to this question are funny and you all seemed friendly so I decided to join.

I've been on a diet for about 10 months. I had 20-25 pounds creep up on me. Anyway, I've been very bad lately and decided I'd better get real and weigh myself. I had lost another 1.2 pounds.

I HAS to be the darn hot flashes...right?

Hot flashes .... weight loss?

It SOUNDS like it might actually make some sense, but in MY VERY HOT EXPERIENCE, uh... nada. If hot flashes caused weight loss, I wouldn't be 159 lb. I would be 109 lb.
