Question Question for Ph2 & beyond

I think I've read that alcohol may stall weight loss just like caffeine "may" stall weight loss. Can anyone tell me if it has/hasn't made a difference for them? My dh and I occasionally (on the weekend) enjoy having some mixed drinks while watching our t.v. shows or while relaxing in the jacuzzi and I do miss it. I'm stearing clear of it while in ph1 but once I'm on ph2 what do ya'll think about bacardi and diet coke? It doesn't have any calories, fat, sugar, etc. I would love some feedback on this cause I'm stumped! THanks! Tara

red wine is supposed to be the best alcohol choice, you can mix it with seltzer for a spritzer if you don't like it straight.

I don't really know about bacardi though

I've learned to really like red wine, so that's my drink of choice now but I think you just have to see for yourself how it effects your cravings. Try just one glass and see if you are extra hungry the next day and if your loss slows down.

There are calories in rum. 64 per ounce or per average shot. Personally, I think alcohol is alcohol, except for beer which is not good, but red wine is healthier for frequent drinking, by frequent I mean one small glass per day. Every once in a great while on P2 I don't think a harder drink would hurt but I wouldn't make it a regular habit.
