Mornin' Freaky and everyone else. TGIF!!! Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. I don't really have any plans this weekend, so it looks like a weekend of cleaning and cooking for me. I'm really starting to get spring fever, so the cleaning urge (or what I call the urge to purge) is hitting me hard right now.

Before work this morning, it's off to Curves. I'm going to get re-weighed and measured today. I've been going there for a couple of years and haven't done that since I started. I've lost some weight since then and want to see where I stand.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Good Morning all,
Hip, hip, hooray! It's Friday! I don't mind my job, but I love my weekends!
I'm invited to a pajama party tonight, but I haven't decided yet whether or not I'm going to go. It's at one of my neighbor's, she's a divorced mom and seems very nice, but I don't really know her that well. I might go over for a few hours to watch a movie. Jake and I are getting up early to meet my SIL for breakfast, then we're going to a Longaberger auction that will last most of the day. I'm not planning to buy anything, but I love to see what prices they're getting for the baskets, and it's a lot of fun. DD may come, too, she's supposed to let me know sometime today. They have to take Nadia to the airport straight from school, and may drive out here afterwards and stay overnight. If that's what the plan is, then I'll skip the pajama party completely.
My lentil soup yesterday was MUCH improved by the addition of turkey sausage. I still threw the recipe out, though. I have better recipes for lentil soup, one I got from these boards.
Time to go to Curves, I'll check back later.

MY LITTLE QUESTIONS FOR TODAY::::::

1.) MY Doctors tell me that I cant be on concrete any more because of my leg and saotic, however, I have been splitting wood for a week and went and got aload yesterday, I have a list of limited "excercises" that I can do, I am aloud to be on the eliptical, is about in, no sit ups , jumpen jacks etc. however,(thank the good Lord) I have not had any problems while doing all tha "Man" chores Since Dad has been down,,, Makes no sense to me,, I have 3 Doctors, who all say the same ,,,, ???????????????????puzzling to me

2.) Okay, the Calories thing, (to make it clear I am doing great at keeping at 1200-1500 range and dont want to change that) However, you know how you see the people that starve themselves , Take in NO or little calories for months , even years, and my how they are skin and bones, Is the "Starvation Mode" Fact or Fiction???? NO I DONT WANT TO BE LIKE THAT,, just a thought that has been in my head for a few days,,??

and 3.) Do you think that People that are NOT obese , but have 20 lbs or less to lose, Go through the same struggles that Obeses People do with 60 to 100+ to lose?

Thats it,, Just some stuff on my mind, Take Care all

Good morning, Chickies!

Freaky, it sounds like you have a real "homey" weekend planned. Enjoy!

Jana, "a couple of years"? I'm impressed! I hope todays weigh-in is a pleasant surprise.

Cottage, I was shocked over the prices of those "Longaberger" baskets! Is it being so rare that makes them special? I have a friend in IN who is nuts over them. We call her Basketcase. How many calories in a Longaberger"?

Mamahulk, planning stuff for the weekend will certainly make things easier. Have you tried the Taco Bake yet? I think both you and the kidlets would enjoy it.

MsCrockett, doing "man" jobs is certainly exercise. What the heck do the docs know anyhow! I find it hard to believe but I understand folks with 20 pounds to lose have as much trouble as the rest of us. By the way, people who eat below 1000 calories may be skinny but there is no way they can be healthy.

My yesterday was really hectic and I did not eat properly after my planning. I just didn't have time to go into Foodsmiths and just grabbed a Quarter pounder (550 calories) enroute to visit Harry. I didn't get home form my Fair Board meeting until nearly ten last night and Hershey and I were in bed in 20 minutes! She was with me all day and was one tired but happy dog!

Today I have to be in town by eleven to work the charity Bingo for the Fair Board. No! It is NOT fun but actually pretty stressful as I am the one who controls the money and has to figure out prize payouts as a percentage of sales. It means being there before sales start at 11:30 to verify cash and Bingo sheets, doing cash and prizes when the thing starts and then balancing out at the end. My pal John usually works with me but his accident the other day has resulted in a cracked vertebrae in his neck so.....

Gotta dash.

By the way, just because I'm not in here early doesn't mean I'm asleep. Hershey and I were up before six this morning. It was freezing cold but beauthiful out on the deck. The sun was just starting to light the sky and there was a sliver of moon over th meadow. I can hardly wait for those beautiful May mornings.

I can answer number three. YES YES YES OMG I have sruggled with my weight all my life. No I am not obese but I have yo yoed up and down from overweight to healthy since I can remember. I am obsessed with food and I am always hungry. One week of no workouts and eating however I choose will easily add 5 or 7 pounds to the scale and it gets worse. I get comments from others about how "they" don't feel I need to lose weight and how easy it is for me. I want to scream at them about how hard I have to work to stay this weight and to loose that few extra pounds would be an amazing feat. I realize that people who have a lot more to losse look at me and think that I should be happy with what I've got. But I am not happy with being at the upper end of the healthy range. I want the lower end please!!!!

Good morning chicks! I'm soo glad it's friday. This weekend will be a busy one though. I have about 3 projects for my thesis and a class that I need to work on this weekend plus the usual laundry and cleaning. I don't really need to do a whole lot of cooking because I have things I can eat in the freezer and fridge but will probably end up cooking something anyway. Right now I'm having coffee with two of the rattie furbabies on my lap while my dog looks at me with the "I want a walk" look. I think I'll take her to the park this morning since it's supposed to be a beautiful day today. That way she can run instead of walk at my slow pace ! I plan to have a slow leisurely morning then get my butt in gear.

Freaky: Sounds like a fun weekend planned. Let us know all about it!

Jana: I love to clean. The feeling of a freshly nice cleaned house is one of the best in the world. You're a woman after my own heart!

Cottage: I mostly make lentil soup with curry spices. I love it that way and any other recipe for it just doesn't appeal to me. If you're in P2 cut ww pita bread in strips and brush them with olive oil, salt and pepper, and some garlic then toast them in the oven until they're crispy. They're yummy to dip in lentil soup.

MsCrockett: Take some down time for yourself, girl. It's so important! Oh, and I've asked myself the same question about anorexic people. Why doesn't there starvation mechanism kick in??? But I'm sure it does but they just take it way too extreme...opposite of the extremes we take. But once they do start to eat they can gain like 20-30 lbs in a month on very little food (I saw a show on it) so their metabolisms must be really messed up.

MamaHulk: Look on the internet, there's all sorts of cool recipes. I'm almost ashamed that I buy so many cookbooks when there's so much free stuff out there available. One of my guilty pleasures in search for recipes on the internet. then I print out what I like and I have a folder full of recipes sparated by categories. Good luck in your search. If you'd like I can give you some of my favorite sites.

Everyone else: Have a fabulous friday!

Good morning everybody. I'm feeling a little bit better today. My girls don't need a depressed mommy, so I'm going to try to be optimistic. We weighed Keely last night on my digital scale and she weighs 16 lbs. We're going to continue to weigh her once a week and keep note of her progress. Also, I'm going to go back to writing down everything she eats including calorie count. At least it'll make me feel like I'm doing something. Now I just need to wait for the developmental specialist to call me back. I'll be back later to respond to everybody after I run on the treadmill (thank goodness my back is feeling better!).

I'm back. Stopped in for coffee and a chat with my mother, then came home and made some scrambled eggs and a muffin for breakfast. Brrrr.... it's cold and windy out there today! I had to stop for gas, and the wind was blowing me off balance while I was pumping! I sure do miss the "good old days" when their was an attendant to pump your gas for you.

usmchoney ~ Your little Keely has been in my thoughts. It's hard not to worry, but at least you're seeing a specialist, and they'll figure out how to make her start gaining. and to you.

pearshape ~ Curry sounds like it would be good in lentil soup. Can you PM me your recipe? Thanks!

I signed up today at Curves for a consultation with a Bra Specialist. She's coming in March, and apparently 85% of us women are wearing the wrong bra size. I'm looking forward to hearing what she has to say, she's been featured on Oprah and has quite a following. I wonder how much her bras cost?
Well, I've got to run the vacuum before I pick up the girls. They ate crackers on the living room carpet yesterday, and I just noticed all the crumbs!

Good Morning Ladies

Very windy up on the Cape, winds are now 50 MPH and going up.We're also going to have snow squalls.

Sorry for being MIA for a couple of days, working a plan to get the scale going down,but....

Now the food plan[KB-QL-PS] ISN'T working I'm up 1 lb and that means I have to have a whooossssssssssh of 2-lbs at tomorrows W-I.To break that stall. Don't think its going to happen.Back to square one,for another week, than I have to find another way to get that STUPID scale moring down again.

I just can seem to get to know my balance to get the scale down as I posted above.Went to a couple of health web sites that told me to maintain my current weight I have to consume 1800 cals a day and if I want to lose a pound a week subtract 500 cal. that would bring me down to 1300 cal a day, which is 26 WW PTS. Thats what I doing this week.

big congrat to all how lost this week and to the ones how are shrinking also.

Miss Crocket-Thats a great question about calories.Wish I knew the answer.I dealing with calories range also If I find the answer I will certainly let you know.

Have to go, willl be back later and if don't wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Hugs BB
