Default fiber suppliments?

OK, this is not a delicate subject but I have a question and I know I'll get good info here! Since starting South Beach I've been a bit irregular...not just constipated, but sometimes quite the oppisite! Should I be taking a fiber suppliment regularly? I was once told that your body will use the fiber as it needs it, what ever the problem. Any suggestions, opinions?

I know the key to fiber suppliments is to slowly introduce them into your diet... been seeing reports recently that the key to a healthy diet is LOTS of fiber... I've tried them before but they didn't really help me, but didn't really give them a good shot.

In Phase 1 (looks like you're almost through) I was constipated so I started a colon cleanse in Phase 2 and that did the trick for me...

That's my 2 cents and I'm sure others will have better advice..

Craftinmom: check to see if you are getting enough ruffage, like veggies and beans..folks here have also used Benefiber (I like the orange chewables), Metamucil is another biggie here.

well it's a 2 part cleanse, one pill for the morning to cleanse my kidneys, liver and stuff and then one in the evening for my digestive track... it's all natural (got it from the local health food store) and it basically just cleans you out... so that you go a couple of times a day... Just different herbs that are supposed to cleanse different parts of your body
