Time to enjoy the winter weather and beat the February blues!
Let's do everything we can to feel fabulous this month!
My goals for this month:
Start Bellydancing again using my DVDs
Make a snowman in my backyard
Go skating on the canal
Go to my city's annual Winter festival
Make a low-fat Indian meal (I've been wanting to this for some time)
I think I am going to jump into a challenge for the first time in who knows how long. The scale dropped back below 200 this morning, and I am feeling a glimmer of hope. It went over 200 before Christmas.
My goals are:
Try and bring lunch to work at least 3 days a week, and eat what I bring!
Drink more Crystal Lite instead of pop (soda).
Exercise video at least twice a week.
Try and remember to take my vitamins more often then not.
Goals:
I'm upping the ante for myself and shooting for a 6 pound loss this month (hoping for 8 though).
Eat more veges!
Stick to my exercise routine.
Keep packing lunches for M&W on S&T nights.
Keep on top of my water intake.
Get rid of two boxes in my closet.
Shine my sink every night.
Mauv: You'll have to post the recipes for your Indian meal, that sounds delish!
~Aim for 50 miles on the elliptical machine (I have a whole month!)
~Clean out the closet in the empty bedroom: give away what we haven't used in 6 months or more.
~Resist the urge to eat out with coworkers. Repeat mantra of 'bringing your lunch is infinitely cooler' as often as necessary.
~Finish at least 1 of my many knitting projects
~Honestly give getting 68oz of water per day a try.
Hi girls
Im in too! Have been slacking lately! Need to get back into the swing of things. Drink my water, take my vitamins, and eat 5 healthy meals and snacks a day, and exercise at least three times a week.
Happy Groundhog day! No shadow here, yeah!!

I will post those recipes after I've tried them out. I am aiming to make them before the end of the month - can't do it this weekend cause it's Superbowl weekend
Hi girls
How is everyone today! Feeling kinda sad today, we had to put our dog to sleep. He was 14+, not really sure as we got him from the SPCA 12 years ago, and he was at least two then if not older. He was getting so he could not even stand without help so it was well, past time. Still is hard though! We brought him back home and buried him in our apple orchard where he used to love to run.
On the happier side of things, I lost 3 1/2 pounds this week. Yeah! Not there yet, but getting there.
Chat later!

These first 2 things are dependant on weather, but it's been mostly cooperative:
I want to play tennis at least 4x a week for at least an hour
I want to ride my bike at least half an hour 5x a week
I am going to up my cardio, cause I've been puny about it so far
I am going to GET UP by 10 am, cause that's been slipping, so in bed by 2am!! (I work 2nd shift, 3-11pm)
Get on top of housework again
GET GOING on getting our house ready to sell. Argh.
Oh Virginia - I am so sorry about your dog - I know it was his time but it is still hard, my dogs are my kids so I can totally understand how you feel. At least congrats are in order for the weight loss.
We lost our Sheltie "Camelot" last summer -- we too had adopted him from the Shelter and when he died the vet said that he was alot older than the shelter had said that he was. We too buried our furry lil boy in the field where he liked to play. Congrats on the weight loss too, though.
My challenge for this month is to continue my walking challenge - so far this month I haven't done as much as I had wanted but I will add a mile here and there to catch up. My husband bought me a lovely weight machine and I have really enjoyed working out on it everyday. I tend to over-do it when it comes to weight lifting so I am feeling a bit sore - lol. My DH and I are also coaching our girls' soccer (football-according to my DH) team this season and we have been going to the skating rink once a week. My youngest daughter is signed up for 'Mommy and Me' gymnastics at the local Flip Shop - so I have plenty of opportunity for physical activities this month - I just hope my body can keep up with my plans *LOL*.
My goals were:

I was doing ok until last week. The strep throat completely threw all of that out the window. But I am back on track. We will see how March goes.
