Whole grains & lean protein is exactly how any nutritionist will tell you to eat. So Phase II of SBD is just fine for losing weight while nursing. Just don't follow the menus given in the book; they're simply not enough calories. Build your meals around fiber & protein, which are filling. Breakfast for me in the past has often been something like oatmeal (3/4 c) with lowfat milk, artificial sweetener, & a bit of peanut butter. And an apple. That keeps me full until well into the afternoon, usually.
