Frustrated!!
I've been on a weight loss plan now for more than 3 weeks. I've lost 9 pounds so far (that's the good news), an inch from my hips and an inch from my bust.
But not a milimeter from my waist or my big fat belly! I started out hour-glass shaped and now I'm afraid I'm working my way towards apple shaped.
I've been eating about 1300-1500 calories a day and exercising (cardio and weights). What am I doing wrong?

Well done on your loss so far. Patience grasshopper. Tummy fat takes ages in many cases (me being a classic case in point). There's nothing you can do to speed up the process, you just have to accept it'll come off from wherever it wants to.
I've gone from a fat pear to a fat apple! But it's coming off gradually. Sorry I can't offer you a magic solution, but it will happen!

Yup, we just don't lose proportionally all over. The order in which fat is stored and burned off is genetically determined. If things are a little out of whack right now, just know that, in the end, it should all even out. I ALWAYS lose in the bust FIRST, then everything else goes in fits and starts.

Oh gosh, good work !!! I have to agree with the others though. Oh man and I too ALWAYS loose my "bust" first. Its like come back !!! But not, but yes! Anyways, you are doing so well, just keep up the good work, and gradually it will come off. I hate patience, but hey at least you lost 9 lbs!! Concentrate on how wonderful that is, and the rest will come. Keep it up !!

It will come off from your stomach but when is another story.
If your losing then thats good. But give it time be patient.
Thats one of the main lessons you learn when you do lose the weight, you need to be patient with your body. It will happen.

You're not doing anything wrong! Our bodies just don't always do what we want them to do. I lost 40 pounds, and my pants were loose on my thighs and baggy on the butt, but I never went down a pants size because my waist didn't want to budge! I seem to lose in the butt first--I always seem to have a disproportionately small/flat butt. Ahh, if only we could designate WHERE our bodies burn the calories from first
