Ooooo...YES. OK, so I'm 46, not sure how that might affect this list, BUT...this is some rock, some R&B/soul, a little (LIGHT) hip/hop, Latin. I got most of these from a list called "Sports Anthems" (songs played in sports arenas/at games). To be honest, I didn't recognize many of the names, but I recognized ALL the music, so.....
Oh Yeah/Yello (remember the film Meatballs? You'd recognize this LOL)
YMCA/Village People
Rock'n Roll, Pt. 2/Garry Glitter
Macarena/Los Del Rio
Gettin' Jiggy Wit It/Will Smith
I Like It Like That/Tito Nieves (this makes me want to DANCE everytime!)
Gonna Make You Sweat/C&C Music Factory
Pump Up the Jam/Technotronic
Tubthumping/Chumbawamba (I'm such an oldie--I didn't recognize the name, but I SURE recognized the song--LOVE this one too)
Unbelieveable/EMF
Wild Thing/Tone-Loc
Proud/Heather Small (originally in the Queer as Folk soundtrack, now famous for The Biggest Loser)
Ice Ice Baby/Vanilla Ice (seriously, don't laugh)
Wild Thing/X (Charlie Sheen was the Wild Thing LOL)
You Dropped a Bomb on Me/The Gap Band
U Can't Touch This/MC Hammer (thank god I don't have those pants anymore!)
I just put together this mix (all songs available on iTunes) a couple days ago and it keeps me going through my workouts! All these songs total up to a little over an hour.

Madonna - hung up
Brooklynn Bounce usually has some peppy music, when I used to run they had a song that went "don't stop", really motivated me to keep going.
Nina sky - move ya body - this is my mom's all time fav.
Celine Dion - I'm alive - perfect for walking!
Bon Jovi - It's my life
Backstreet boys - the one - yes they are cheesy, this is a good song tho!
Laura Pausini - Surrender
Will Smith - Switch
Loreena McKennit - Lady of Shalot - GREAT for stretching and cooling down.
Hope that helps!! Music is always KEY for me!

ooooooh! fun! I do a 10K run every saturday morning, and I could never make it through without my tunes.
one caveat: some of the best workout songs are also some of the cheesiest music - ever.
Here's my latest list:
Let's Get it Started - Black Eyed Peas
Don't Phunk with My Heart - Black Eyed Peas
Strip - Adam Ant
Welcome to the Jungle - Guns 'n Roses
The Warrior - Patty Smyth & Scandal
Love Shack - The B52's
We Got the Beat - The Go Gos
Pour Some Sugar on Me - Def Leppard
Are You Gonna Be My Girl - Jet
Hollaback Girl - Gwen Stefani
Have fun!!!

Being a huge Sarah Mclachlan fan, I find both her remixed cd's are great for working out! A lot of good beats...plus some vocals to sing a long with
Also, here's a couple of my faves:
I like the way you move - Bodyrockers
You've got the love - Source ft. Candy Station
Fine Night Tonight - DJ Santana ( This one's for cooldown and stretching! )

My iPod "hard workout" list consists of a lot of Garbage, Rob Zombie, and Evanescence, along with Smashing Pumpkins, Ozzy Osbourne, Rage Against the Machine, Metallica...and others. Probably those are waaaaaaaaay more intense than you're looking for, but hey, had to offer. At least they're all fast!

Ohhh this is a good topic! I always need new music...
I will pull up my playlists and go through my CD's later - it is kind of late - but some of my favorites are...
99 Problems - Jay-Z
You and Me - J-Kwon
Sugar We're Going Down - Fall Out Boy
Usually, I don't like rap but there are a couple of up-tempo songs that just keep me going.

If you're like me, and have only recently joined the rest of the iPod/MP3 nation, here's an idea. If you use iTunes, go to the iMixes and check out what other people have on their workout playlists. I found a few good ideas that way .
