I'm new here!!! - 3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Weight Loss Community

Hi! I wasn't entirely sure where to post this but I
wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kristy and I
am 27 (soon to be 28) years old.
I am engaged to be married in 2007 so I have to really
shed some pounds off! I have quite a bit of it too! lol

To date, I have lost 22 pounds. I have close to 100 pounds
more to lose.

Anyway - I can't wait to get to know you all better!

I'm sure you'll find a lot of good advice and encouragement here on the 3FC boards.

P.S. Maybe you can post what kind of lifestyle changes (way of eating - I don't like to say "diet"), exercise, etc. that you will be doing to help you reach your goal. IMO your goal of 116 lbs. seems a bit low (depending on your height).

Maybe the 116 is how many pounds she's trying to lose? It does seem pretty low the other way.

Congrats on the 22 lbs you have lost, as well as your engagement.

Yup, I'm not afraid to say this but I started at 316..yes I know,
it's a lot!
I have lost 22 so now I am at 294. I wanted a realistic goal within
a year's time so I decided to get down to 200 lbs. BUT after
my wedding, I will continue to work at it.

I'm 5'8"

I'm new here too! One of the best things I have learned about losing weight is to take it in very small steps. I try to aim for like a 5 pound loss, and then when I accomplish that I aim for another 5 pounds...Congrats on the 22 pounds, that is a major accomplishment in itself.
