I am so frustrated with myself. I went out of town to a friends house for most of the weekend and was totally NOT on plan. This morning I weighed myself and it says I am up 1.5lbs from Friday. Is it possible I could've really gained that over the weekend or could it just be sodium?
It's okay. I did the same thing last night sending my boss off for a better job.
My husband was like how many times have you done that.. Not since I began losing weight. So just know it happens.. Recover and get on with the workout today.
It's pretty typical for me to gain a pound or two over the weekend. Over the course of the week when I am sticking to my diet it drops off. Fluctuations happen, at least for me. I've found it critical to my mental health to look at the big picture, not the daily stats.
You can take it off in no tim e -- lots of the weight is probably water retention, like you said with the sodium. Think about the long term. You aren't going to avoid party food for the rest of your life, are you?
I don't weigh on Mondays anymore, I always either stay the same or gain a bit at the weekend. I have no idea why, although I have some theories. Strangely I can stay on plan easier at weekends that during the week!
As everyone has said, just ignore the scales, keep up your water, and don't let the numbers do your head in!
