Unhappy I need something... encouragement?

Tonight is my first weigh in and measurement taking at Curves. It's been a month of hard work!! I've been looking forward to this for awhile. But my boyfriend just called and invited me to go bowling with some people. I said I can't go and I'll meet up with him later. I'm going straight to Curves after work to get measured and weighed and then workout, then home to have a sensible dinner and get ready for our plans later on in the evening. The old me would have ditched Curves and had fun. I really thought about doing that. So now I just feel bummed about missing out instead of proud for making such a good decision. Help me!

That's so great that you've made a decision like that. Don't feel bad. I am sure that you'll feel great after your weigh and measure! That's the most encouraging thing of all. Stuff like that comes and goes, but health and getting in shape, that lasts a lot longer!!!

Awesome JLYNN! You really have to make your health a priority! I think you should be proud of yourself. Look how much you have changed already! It's all about baby steps...like you stated the old you would have jumped at the fun and skipped the curves mtg. You are on your way. Part of weight loss is mental, not just working out and eating right.

I'm proud of you..way to go! I'm sure you'll have great news at Curves! Have fun!
