Feeling Hopeful Today
 

Hello Everyone,

I am feeling hopeful today and not bummed like some days. I post quite often when I am feeling bummed, and appreciate everyones kind words and encouragement. I just wanted to make a hopeful encouraging post for once instead of my usual "downer" ones.

I've been on my new shift for about a month now. Some parts of it I like (sleeping at night), some parts of it I could do without (dealing with difficult people). My feet were in agony ~ Mom suggested I try the kind of shoes she wears, and they have helped so much ~ a bit pricey, but if I have less foot pain it is worth it.

I've not been perfect with the food, but have been better. I feel like for a change, my head is on straight :D

Gayle -- It's not bad to post on our bad days, but I know what you mean about wanting to post on good days too! Shift changes are an enormous lifestyle change!!! Sounds like you're adapting!

What kind of shoes??

Sandi ~ they are SAS shoes. The particular style I got was called Free Time. They really have helped a lot. I wish I had gotten them sooner.

I think that's the brand my mother-in-law has been raving about. I bought new balance gym shoes and they are great. I bought some in black and I don't like them all that much. Since I stand all day if I teach I might have to lok into those!

Thanks for the positive post. They are always nice to read. I'm glad you feel in control. I just recently changed back to day shift myself and I'm loving it. It's so nice to be able to come home and cook a nice dinner again and have the evening to enjoy.

Hey Howie ~ good to see you here. I was just thinking of you and Kimberly last evening ~ wondered how things were going with your new job and all. Glad you are enjoying your new job and shift.
