hello and where does it go?

Hi guys!

I've been posting around the forums and just now found this section of it.
Congratulations to all those who are successful in trimming down.

I definitely have over 100lbs to lose and my biggest problem is my stomach.
The funny thing is I've looked in the mirror.. from all angles and I've drawn on it with a sharpie.. and I swear.. its just the biggest part of me. I think if I tried to weigh just my tummy it would be about 30 lbs. I've had a C section long ago and after that was when i really piled on the lbs. Now.. I have this " apron " on me.. it looks like my tummy is a curtain over my... hahahah

If I lose all this weight.. what happens? do I have to go get a tummy tuck? will it shrink back?

My best friend.. and we been best friends since we were 6 decided to get surgery to lose weight.. and she did in like 6 months she lost 100lbs. SHe looked great but when she was dressing infront of me.. that's when I saw all the sagging skin.. from her tummy to her inner thighs. She said she needs a plastic surgeon to correct that..
I know she didn't life one finger to exercise.. will this happen to me even if I do work out?

There are some excellent threads on excess skin, but I think this one pretty much says it all:

We are very similar in body type and history. I am just a tad bit taller than you at 5' 10" but our weight is the same and so is the dang apron. I had two c-sections and i know the damage they can cause. I am definately looking into a tummy tuck once this is all over. I lost 100 pounds before and STILL HAD THE APRON. :tantrum: It was smaller and flatter but i was only 20 pounds from goal and no way was that apron disappearing with just 20 pounds to go. I knew people that weighed more than me that had a much smaller, tighter stomach and yes i exercised the WHOLE TIME. I even put skin firming, gravity lotion on that area with my fingers crossed. My thighs looked really bad too, just the inner top part of the thighs. Really bothered me to do all that work to end up looking like a 90 year old naked. :fr: ha ha. But this time around...i am prepared and already have a surgeon picked out. Nothing he can do about my stretch marks but he can definately cut the apron off for good. Cant wait for him to work his magic :wizard: and wake up with a flat and tight tummy. I go to a really good website that has a tummy tuck message board. If you are interested in checking it out you can private message me.

I haven't lost 100 pounds but I have to agree about the c section thing. I am down close to a good weight for me but darn if that tummy still doesn't look like I'm wearing an apron. I think if I could afford a tummy tuck I'd probably lose like 20 pounds.

Thanks guys.. LOL

aprons... I hate that.. LOL
I guess I better start saving up... :< I got a whole year to worry about that I think.. can't really get it out without losing weight.

I find that abdominal exercises are soooo hard.. maybe its psychological.. or does the C sections weaken the muscles there.

Oh in celebration of our aprons... we should all get chef's hats.. hahahaha
oh the mental picture.. hahaha
