I agree that key is to find something that you love. I LOVE water aerobics. I can't wait to go and am bummed if I have to miss a class. I also really like weight lifting. But even though I like it, I still have to make myself go. I don't know why there is differnce, since I like them both.

I am enjoying all the exercise I am doing now, but could have never gotten going with out a program.

Linda - What do you like to do??

Thanks everybody :)

I knew there had to be people who felt the same way I do!

Sandi- My favourite is swimming, although I'd need a couple of lessons to re-teach me proper stroke technique! I'd also need the money to buy a seasons pass or something at the local pool. I could say that I don't have the money, but that would be an idiotic excuse since I'd only have to lose about 3 pounds to pay for a whole year! (You know about the $100 a pound thing right?)

I also like the idea of yoga...but I'm positive I would not like to bring my fat butt into a class full of bendy girls. Can anyone suggest some great DVDs for Pilate's and or yoga?

I love you guys!!!

Pilates for Dummies is a good start, I thought it was a good workout.

I like the idea of running, so I signed up for a 5km run in December, and I recruited a couple of people to do it with me. Talk about motivation! One of the gals is an avid runner, so I want to slightly keep up with her. For me planning is key, I'm NOT letting myself not do it, so I plan 3 runs a week, put them on the calender, and make it realistic. You can plan to come over to Vancouver in April and do the Sun Run with me... it's 10kms, you could definitely run the entire thing if you started training now. AND I even have a training program you could follow ;) Do what you love eh!

My favorite pilates workout right now is actually a mix of cardio and pilates. It is "Crunch Fat Burning Pilates". My favorite yoga is "AM/PM Yoga" by Gaiam. Also "Crunch Candlelight Yoga" is a favorite.
