Thanks

Welcome Laura! I'm new here too. We're at exactly the same point at weight loss! I've done WW in the past and had success with it. I'm sort of doing WW now, the general principles of it anyways, keeping calories down. I'm not counting points anymore but just using what I learned while doing it and doing it on my own (and of course with this site providing lots of great motivation!!)

Hello everyone,
I'm pretty new at this, too. I love the amount of support that I am experiencing on these boards! It's great.
I am losing weight (this time) by counting calories and carefully monitering my daily fat grams intake. So far, I'm having some very rewarding results. I'm also concentrating on eating foods from the "super foods" list. In just two weeks time, I feel soooooooo much better!
Congrats to everyone for either getting started, or for continuing on your journey to lose weight!!!

I'm also a WW, and I started with a pound more than you to lose so I know it can be done. You've chosen a great place for support!

Does anyone know how I put my weight loss graph up here? Also, what is the super food list? Thanks.

Laura - You can go to the User CP, and click on "Edit Signature". There are options there to set up your weight loss ticker.

Hey Laura,
The "super foods" that you asked about consists of a list fourteen foods and subgroups (put together by Dr. Steven Pratt) that have been shown to extend human health. Basically they are foods that act as medicine to your body because of the nutritional power they each have. The list consists of the following:
beans
blueberries
broccoli
oats
oranges
pumpkin
wild salmon
soy
spinach
tea
tomatoes
turkey
walnuts
For someone who follows this way of eating, the underlying idea is that our bodies are wired for a diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and lean protein. I just got turned onto it exactly two weeks ago and I've already lost 9 lbs. I love the way it's all laid out, not really any special plan, just a new approach to eating to live!
Hope this helps.

I went to CP and clicked on edit signature (numerous times) but I keep getting a message that says the URL is invalid. Also, it states something about me not being able to use HTML. Any ideas? I'd really like to sent up a ticker. I notice there are several of you who have www.3FatChicks.com - Best Diet Support Online. Please assist. Thanks!!!
