This week is coming to an end and it has been really good for me. I peeked at the scale and it's looking good for tomorrow's weigh in. Hope all is going well for everyone. I really feel back in the grove and am looking forward to making it to goal.

That's awesome Howie! Hi Kimberly! I am so glad to be back here and see you guys... I don't weigh in again until Sunday-- I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good payoff- I've been on plan 100% so far this week, even going under my daily calorie goal on some days. We'll see how it pays off... Or IF it pays off I should say... We're going to the Beach for a long weekend... I am planning to stay right on track with NO sidetracks!

Smile Hi everyone!

I'd like to join your challenge too. I've been on WW for about a month, and I just lost my 1st five pounds! My short term goals are: 1. To be below 300 for my anniversary (Labor Day..30 years! ); and 2. To be at 275 by year's end!

Thank you Howie for starting this thread!

P.S. Gretchen, it's good to see you back!

I'm glad I checked back in here. Haven't had much success the last few days, so I need to strengthen my resolve, and seeing all of you helps me do that.

I have been having a lousy summer and not been around much, but would like to jump on this bandwagon. My goal is to lose 20 lbs by Jan 1. I need a butt-kicking for sure these days, and maybe this will do it.

Back in the saddle again and aiming for 240 (and full health recovery following surgery -- ugh) by the end of the year. Thanks for motivating me to look at the big, 19-week picture

So what's everyone doing to get "jump started"?

Me, I start teaching a new semester tomorrow, so I'm planning to add some extra exercise into my day by taking a quick 10-minute walk between classes. If I can do that even three times in the course of the day, that's an extra half hour of exercise, which should breathe a little new life into this effort. I'm here at the office prepping for tomorrow's classes, so I'm starting the "walk breaks" today.

Great idea! I'm in I'd like to lose 20 lbs as I work through 2006. This means I'd be in the 230's at 239! Isn't it funny how that 1 lb can make so much of a difference, like being in the 230's and not 240's? but oh it would be awesome!

I've been trying to walk at least 1/2 hour day. Eating is going good except for last Friday.
