Default That's what I call an office party/pick-nick

We had our office pick-nick yesterday.

The good part is that it was close enough to walk, so a bunch of us descided to walk over there. It took us a little more than 45min.

Our menu choices were healthy: wild rice and vegetables salad, corn on the cob and either buffalo burger, deer hot dog or vegetarian burger.

I had the rice salad, a vege burger and the corn...no butter or salt.

I also walked about 20min to meet my husband after the party.

It was all under the theme of "Aboriginal Experience", so all the activities where aboriginal like: dream catcher making, a dance and signing story of aboriginal history, ect.

It was very pleasant. I realy loved all the walking I got to do.

wow, that's what I call an office picnic! I work out of my apartment now, but I remember the oh so high caloric days of the office parties (lots of pizza parties and birthday cakes). The only distance walked was from my desk to the pizza/cake/goodies, heh heh.

I also remember all the picnics and beach parties I had growing up, bag after bag of potato chips and gallons and gallons of soda.

Rob and I go to the park on nice days on the weekends. We split a sandwich (not too big on packing up a picnic) and I bring an apple. Tons of people riding bikes, roller blading, walking, jogging. It's very nice.

That sounds really, really nice. I wish our lunches at my office would take in to consideration people like me who are being more health conscious (sp!?)!

That sounds like great fun!!! I hope that more companies take the lead and plan great, healthy, themed days for their employee picnic.
