Sorry I'm late! Ok, well, in typical Diet Power fashion, the caloric output levels are listed for like every type of mower -- the range goes from 255 kcal for "mowing, walking behind self-propelled mower" (uhhh, thinking this isn't the one) to 554 kcal for "mowing, pushing hand mower." "Mowing, pushing power mower, larger model or faster walking" and "mowing, average" both come in at 481 kcal, so maybe that's the one? Keep in mind that these caloric burns are for my weight, not yours, so you'll have to shave off a bit for the difference of 27 pounds. But I'm taller, so maybe it comes out in the wash? Well this is a bit too much for my addled brain at this hour! I say you go with the 481 and be done with it -- you're not counting all the other daily activities so if there's a little cushion in there, so be it. God wants you to be happy! (That's what I tell myself, anyway! )

Speaking of God wanting me to be happy -- I'm pretty freaked out about my follow-up oncologist appointment tomorrow -- so if you guys could happen to find a free moment to say a prayer or think happy thoughts for me, I'd appreciate it. This is a first meeting with an oncologist down here in Atlanta; he's got all of my records, so he knows I've got an active lymph node that's appeared twice on PET scans and once on a CT scan, beginning in November and continuing through February. Ok, I'm blathering now, and giving wayyyyy too much boring information. (Like Jen/andoreth, I'm vewy, vewy "seepy." ) Just send good vibes because I'm fairly frantic.

Exercise: 40 minutes biking. (And about 5 hours of walking and 2 hours of standing.)

G'night Gracie!

Sarah, I've never been much of a pray-er, and I never pray for myself, but I'll pray for you tonight. Maybe such a rare thing as a prayer from me will make God notice?

Really, though, I will pray, and I'll be thinking about you all day tomorrow!

Thumbs up

*******:GOOD VIBES going out to Sarah!:********

Tuesday: Scheduled run completed in 30 minutes (but it was 2.1 miles instead of 2.5 miles That is about a 15 minute mile. Want to ge back up to the 12 minute miles I was doing last fall)

Wednesday: 1 hour TKD class

There is a change in plans for my week as I will not be able to run the 5K this weekend. Instead I will be attending my usual AM stability ball class followed by an extra pre-test TKD class. Our test is one week away and our instructors want us all to have extra practice so we can work on our form and technique.
I will have to find a new race for June though! My plan is to run a 5k each month this summer. July is lined up and it looks like I may run 2 in August as there is a trail run at a resort 5 miles from my house. Sounds like alot of fun!

**Update**Searched around on the internet for a while and found a new 5K for June. June 24 at the Badger State Games!
And to make it even cooler, they even have Martial Arts competition on June 25! Will have to see if my instructors will OK participation as it isn't specifically TKD but a general martial art competition. I am just soooo excited and would love love love to go! (Especially as it would not involve a 6 hour drive like the tournaments I've done so far. They were all in western Minnesota.) Don't know if I would do sparring but weapons and forms would be alot of fun. Have I mentioned how excited I am???????!!!!!!!!!?????

I am sending good vibes your way Sarah!

By the way I am down for the count this week as far as exercise goes. I am dealing with a new bought of tonsilitis. I am trying to think positive and figure if I kick it now I won't be sick for Vegas. I also am going to try to get to the gym on Saturday morning for a lifting session. Wish me luck hopefully the doc will give me more meds tomorrow and I will be on my way to getting over this mess.

Thanks you guys!! I'm going to have to update tomorrow night, but it went ok, overall. He wants me to get new scans ASAP, so he can see what's going on now. I'll give more detail next time I post. I do want to thank you for your kindness.

As for exercise, I got in 60 minutes of biking each, yesterday and today. I'm getting there! I have to work 10 1/2 hours tomorrow and 8 on Sunday, so I have my work cut out for me reaching my goal.

How did you guys do today?

(Dolly, sorry you're sick! )

Sarah: I'm glad everything is going okay. I was going to post my exercise yesterday, but, well this is weird, but I was overcome by a odd superstitious feeling that I didn't want to be the one to stop "holding my breath" and post. I don't know, does that make sense? Maybe the extra exercise I've been doing this week is finally causing delirium.

Linda: I do want to give you a big WELL DONE for the exercise you got in! Sorry it's a bit late. You are a ray of sunshine here, and seeing you so excited for yourself really made me smile!

Laura: Way to go! I officially nominate you for this forum's official "Butt Kicking Machine"!

Everyone: Great to see you up and at 'em. Let's show those fat cells whose boss!

Now, for me: I'm still alone, and obviously I'm starting to get a bit desperate for communication! Gym both yesterday and today, and I walked both times. I'm feeling fit, but also very run down (does that make sense?), and I'm really looking forward to my rest day tomorrow! (And picking up SO on Sunday!!!)

I hope everyone is fine!
