Hi, I just joined a gym last week as well ,and I was so selfconscious at first too, but it's so true what the others have said about nobody really caring about what your doing. I've been six times so far, doing cardio and some group classes (pilates and swiss ball) and had my second appointment with the personal trainer last night. I did some strength training for the first time and I just loved it. Looking forward to tomorrow to do some more strength and cardio.

thats how i feel! im so uncomfortable and i guess a little paranoid about it all expecialy how the sweaty clothing is clinging to my body if you catch my drift but i've convenced myself after a week or twoeverything will be ok!

I have had a gym membership for 14 years. My husband used it. I just one day decided that I was going to go and it was the best decision that I made for myself. I think that everyone is into getting their workout and not focused on everyone else. I have been going for 2 months and my gym pants are getting so loose. I am now doing 45 minutes treadmill and 60 elicitical It gets easier and I love it.
