Do you remember that photo spread that Jamie Lee Curtis did a few years ago? She held up a copy of it on Ellen or Oprah and said "You can't look like this. I don't look like this!"
Is that Cuba Gooding jr with a girl? They lifted her back end and her shorts
I've been a nurse for a lot of years and I ain't never seen that many round boobs!
Wow, is that ever depressing. Some of the most beautiful, respected people still aren't good enough. What a mixed-up culture we have!
p.s. I just noticed another thing about these photos -- in more cases than not, he wipes out any definition in women's muscles! It's that old bias about muscles not being "feminine," I think... how sad, because many of these women look PUMPED in the "befores"!

I got to wondering how much of it is laziness on the part of the photographers. You don't need good lighting or a studio or back drops. These girls don't even need make-up. You can just add it all in later.
I've noticed with black folks that there is a tendency to lighten up their skin tones when I think they look great like they are. Our society is so warped when it comes to this issue.

Can he come and do a retouch job on me before I leave the house every morning????
Sorry, I haven't missed the point really!!!
I think it was a photo of Tyra banks, in the middle with bulging boobs, anyway I really noticed her hands. Since I have been weight lifting I have bulging veins and sinews in my hands, it's not a problem, but I notice she has them too, but they completely retouched them away.
Sad that the very things that helped sculpt her body are airbrushed away.
I had a friend who was a model and when she first showed me her book, I probably wouldn't have known it was her in many of them if the pictures weren't all together. I was stunned at what they could do with make-up and and retouches. Most of the women we see in advertisements and magazines do not look that way in person.
