Biggest Loser Question.....

How many calories do they eat a day?

Rani 01-29-2006 05:50 AM

I was reading today that the two trainers have different approaches to calories.....but basically the biggest guy is on 2000 cal a day, whereas some of the smaller people are on 1200 to 1500 cals a day.

Do you know how many hours a day they workout?

mousie 01-29-2006 10:02 AM

I read that it's 2-3, cardio and lifting.

:dizzy: No wonder it melts off of them! I don't even have time for 2 hours...

I actually heard its 5-6 hours a day. At least that's what they say on the NBC.com Biggest Loser forums.

It obviously works for the first part when they go from morbidly obese to overweight. I would really like to know more about the part they do "off the ranch", where they go from overweight to fit. They never really show it on TV.

5-6 hours?!?!?!

And here I am so damn proud of my 45 min workout. hehehe. Well...I still am..I do have to work, shower, drive, cook, make love, shop, breath, watch TV and of course check in at 3FC. I don't have any more time. Hahaha

I got the book this week and it says they work out 4-6 hours on the ranch, but IRL they do 1-2 hours. Once you get used to doing that amount of exercise a day, it nearly feels lazy NOT to. I used to train for swimming up to 6 hours in a day, it was crazy, but you get used to it. Now if only I could do that now...

There is an equation for how many calories, it's your present weight x 7. They say to change this for every pound of fat you lose. I haven't finished reading the book yet... but so far it looks good.
