i don't ride often. its been over 6 years. i voted that i don't but should but don't. my kids do but not if they don't go off the driveway. if/when i start riding again i'll get a helmet. we don't bother with riding now as i've heard its dangerous to a baby under a year to but maybe this summer?

yes i do. and it took several tries to get it to fit properly. be sure to get one that fits your own head and is comfortable.

When I lived in the UK it was a rare sight to see any cyclist wear a helmet, yet over here almost all of them do. Seems back-to-front considering the car drivers over there (of which I was one) are complete nutters compared with Edmontonians! :p

Live through a brain injury, or know someone who has. You'll never ever leave yourself unprotected again.

I have a cute picture of Mousie and Me with bike helmets on. :)

I have to say that helmets are not optional in my opinion. The guys at my bike shop just got through visiting a girl who is comatose because she simply fell off her bike and cracked her head on the curb.

I agree NON!!

The helmet I just bought is so lightweight. I cannot imagine it limiting the ventilation anymore than a baseball cap.

Looks like our bike smiley isn't safe....

The bike smiley is probably just hangin' out in the living room anxious to hit the trail tomorrow :)
