I am just getting kinda fed up, I bought a treadmill at the end of august so that means I have been using it for a couple of weeks now. I lost like 6 pounds right off the bat and then I gained back 3 after about 4-5 weeks and just weighed myself last monday and I gained another 2. I have been watching what I eat and drinking more water and it doesn't seem to help. I have over 200 lbs to lose and I was hoping to see that happen considering I was using my treadmill that cost a fortune. I have actually found myself slipping and not wanting to excersice or be so careful what I eat just because it is such a downer. I am Taking a fertilty drug called clomid and a progesterone pill. I don't know if that has something to do with it or what but this is getting very discouraging!! Does anyone out there know what the deal is with what my problem might be? I want to lose weight but at the moment it just seems so hopeless becaus I feel like I am doing everything right! I hopeone of you has some insight. Sorry for sounding so whiny.

It is quite possible that the medication that you are taking maybe making your body retain water. Another suggestion would be if you are not writing down the food you eat during the day, begin to keep a record. Drink lots and lots of water, and if you are excercising hard, you need to drink even more water to replace the fluids you have lost. Sounds like you already doing the above. You also may be building muscle, which weighs more than fat. Maybe mixing up your routine if you are eating the same things everyday. Sending out good vibes your way
