Hi Amanda,

Congratulations on you quitting smoking and yes it took determination and hard work. I have to say i had more morning sickness which kept me occupied so i never felt withdrawals. By the time the morning sickness was over i didn't really have too bad of a hard time. Just a force of habit reaching for my cigarette case which was no longer there, i had gum there instead took a few days to get over that and boom i was finished.

I had to jump on the scale and well i know we aren't supposed to jump on the scale at home but i did LOL ... i am down to 268.1. I had to get on the scale again and sure enough woweeeeeeeeeeeeee LOL Now i get weighed in on Wednesday and no more checking my own scale

Hi Elie! Welcome to 3FC and the 100lb club! Congratulations on the quitting smoking thing. I quit being a regular smoker as a birthday present to myself this year... I'm still working on the no smoking when drinking thing. You've found a great place here at this forum and I hope to see you post often! Congratulations on starting on the path of a healthier you!

Welcome, Elie!

Congrats on quitting the smokes. And at such a tough time for you too.

That really should be my next challenge, perhaps after shifting more of this weight. I'm down to about five ciggies a day from over forty so that's an improvement at least. Glad you didn't listen to your friend's lousy advice--it doesn't work.
