I've got a question regarding FitDay food lists.

  • I've really been using FitDay a lot lately, but have a question. When you post your nutrition facts for the day, the last item in the first section says "alcohol". Does that mean the sugar content of the food you're entering?

Also, did anyone buy the FitDay for your PC for $19.95? Is it worth investing in?

    Thanks!!
  • No, alcohol is a separate macronutrient. It had 7 calories per gram (carbs&protein have 4, fat has 9). Sugar content is a subset--and not listed--of carbs.

Sorry, I don't have fitday for my PC so I couldn't say.
  • Fitday tracks four macronutrients -- protein, fat, carbs, and alcohol. If you want to see a piechart for a day that has all four, go to my Fitday (link below) and go to September 4. For the red wine, it tracks the carbs and the alcohol separately, so it shows 57 grams of alcohol and 10 grams of carbs. (and surprisingly, 1.5 grams of protein... so theoretically if I drink all my calories in a day, I'll still get a bit of protein, right?)
