Default OT: Infertile Identical Twin gives birth.

I thought this was such a fascinating article, I wanted to pass it along. I especially like the application to post-chemo women who become infertile.

An otherwise infertile woman got pregnant last October and gave birth to a healthy baby girl Monday night in Alabama about 15 months after a transplant of ovarian tissue from her identical twin sister.

Medical science is amazing - its wonderful to think there's actual hope for other infertile women. Thanks for posting this, GJ, it made my night!

That's so amazing. A few months ago, I watched a medical show about a cancer patient who had some ovarian tissue removed and frozen before she started treatment. When she was healthy again, the drs replaced the tissue and she eventually conceived naturally. (I can't remember how long it took.) Most of the tissue didn't survive the freezing process, but enough of it did to give her a healthy baby. I was just in awe watching that show.
