Kykaree.....I read the posting about your salsa-cizing experience and I giggled so hard that I couldn't complete reading this post. I do hope you are alright my dear and that there was some critical incident stress debriefing for the cat who was obviously traumatized by the sight of his dear master roasting on an open flame. Sorry folks, it is late and I must need sleep.

I have a flexible gym pass that I do not need a contract for and can buy any month I may feel like using it (isn't that awesome, I looked forever to find that type of flexibility). To further the envy, it is only $35/month and I have access to three fitness centres in my area of the city. It includes water aerobics, land aerobics, track, weights, olympic size pool and a multitude of other services. I consider myself fortunate to have this available to me. I can not believe the monthly gym costs in the UK or US. I am Canadian and we certainly have upscale gyms but there are some communities that subsidize gym memberships with urban taxes so it is affordable for families. I also exercise in my basement (out of the fireplace for the most part) and I like it as well. Kathy Smith feels like family : ). Anyway, must run. Great post..Keep safe out there - exercising truly can be hazardous.

Everything in the UK is expensive!!! I am very envious of your gym, it sounds great. Our pool is tiny and has very limited opening hours. It takes me longer to get on the internet and determine my swimming times than it takes to get there!!!!

I'm glad my salsa trauma amused you!!!! It made me laugh too, I am forever laughing at myself. I was at the gym with Cute Gym Instructor, who is only 25 and very earnest. He wanted me to do an exercise on my hands and knees in the middle of the gym. I got down and just started laughing, I just felt so ridiculous, he looked very alarmed!!! But he started laughing too eventually. My tummy nearly hits the ground when I am on my hands and knees!!!!

Ah, I am sorry about the gym experience. It can be awkward and at times embarrassing. The point is you were there and you were doing it and you were brave enough to give the all-fours a try - High Five your direction my dear. Poor little earnest gym boy - he will probably never ask a woman of any size to go on her hands and knees in the middle of the gym floor EVER EVER Again! You are in good company amongst fellow belly draggers (in my case, a few kids just helped ease that drag along- darn!). I guess I found the salsa amusing because it is so me. It must have been about a year ago that I was just moving to one of my videos and got my foot caught in the area rug and went backwards onto the couch. It did take me a good few minutes to figure out where the heck I ended up - talk about accelerated heart rate! Anyway, you take care and keep up the great work!
