Default Looking for a Solid Bicycle

Can you imagine that spring is only in 2 weeks from now? In the past i’ve always like to take long bicycle rides during the nice season. If I say “in the past” it is because I got rid of my bike in 1999. It was always broken due to my weight.

Of course, I’ve lost a lot and will loose more in the following months. However, I’d like to know if any of you have a good SOLID model to recommend. Ideally, something that can tolerate 250 pounds would be good. I’m looking for an Hybrid or Mountain. I ride on paved and gravel road. My budget is around 500-700$

Thanks!!

I always liked this one by Raleigh. Look at the p4000 on this page.

I was told by the local bike shop that even when I was at 400 lbs this would hold up. They may have just been trying to sell a bike though. These were going for around $400 not sure if they still are.
