I'm hoping to not lose any, I wear a 42 B or C depending. I got fitted at Lane Bryant and they told me that I was supposed to be wearing a D and I just laughed. I was guessing I am thicker in the back at the point where they measure your cup size. I just never felt proportioned but then again I guess I am a pear shape.

In losing what weight I have, I've gone down one size (from a 42DD to a 40DD). Before I really gained these 100 pounds over the past 10 years I was a comfortable 36DD. I'm thinking I too would rather have a lift instead but we'll have to wait and see where they are at at the end of this.

As for the jogging. When I actually had the motivation to try it, I wore 3 bras--2 sports bras and one support bra over the 2 sports bras to give me some shape. I couldn't decide which was worse-the flappy boobies or the unaboob look. :D

When I first got pregnant with my daughter I was horrified my boobs would be huge. Mom went from a 36D to like a 44FF with her pregnancies. Luckily mine didn't grow 2 big. :D

:barbell: :strong: Hi I am a new member and this problem that you speak of is the story of my life. I am a 40 D now and after having my child now they sag. I went in for a breast reduction consultation and my insurance denied it. I have spoke to many people that have had it done and said they would have it done again and were very happy. For now, as I lose weight and my chest deflates, I am lifting weights to strengthen my pectoral muscles. This does help some what. I would love to go into Victoria's Secret and just buy a 34 c right off the rack without even trying it on.

Since losing weight I have went from a 42DD to a 38C. Not to shabby. I have one that is a smaller C and one that is a large C (Nursing a baby did that one). I still find that even with them being smaller I still feel paranoid jogging. To me they still bounce around alot and I have never liked to have attention drawn to my chest. I have never been able to tolerate anyone looking at my chest. So, I do know where you are coming from even if I have never been as large as you are. :)

I guess I'm the odd woman out here. I have big boobs and want them bigger! lol. I was a 48DD (probably more like an F) when I was at my heaviest. Having lost almost 80 lbs they are now a 46DD (actually probably a 44D but I've resisted buying new bras). When I was 200 lbs I wore a 38B (yes B) so I'm terrified of losing my boobs. I'm planning to have a lift and an augmentation when I'm done, along with a tummy tuck which is very obvious already that I'll need. If I'm working this hard to lose it all, I want to look good in the end, not saggy. It will be worth all the $. That's just my opinion for myself though. I think everyone needs to do whatever they are comfortable with then they are done. :)

 the responses to this have cracked me up, especially dawnyal and the "uniboob." I totally know where you're coming from. I used to do swim team and we had to wear those stupid speedos (shudder!!!) and they, of course, had no built in bra, so my poor boobies would be squashed up into one.

Sarah, thanks for the idea! I never would have thought to search the forum, I'm so silly! I found the post you were talking about, and it was very helpful. Thanks for posting that. I'm totally convinced.

Gina, I hope working out works for you. If not, I hope the insurance comes through for you. My mom, whose chest is even bigger than mine, had to go through all sorts of physical therapy to "prove" to the insurance company that the back pain wasn't curable. She didn't want to go through all that, plus she has diabetes and wasn't sure if she'd be able to in the first place. So, no dice for her.

Ingrid, hey, power to you, I wish I could like it! You're right, whatever someone's comfortable with. To each their own, right?

Funnie, thanks for the links! I'll definitely check them out. I got mine from figleaves.com, but even though it's the best bra I've gotten, it's still not what I'd like it to be, and the first one I got from there just snapped once. Ah well. Thanks again.

Celina - we have nearly the same boobs.. and I'm sure we have a similar closet if you shop at my store... oh.. btw, on Wednesday, all sale goes additional 50% off.

Dana - I was on the swim team all thru jr high and highschool.. nothing like the squished uni-boob. Definitely makes it hard to pick up a guy at a swim meet. Uhhh.. not that I did that ;) Mmmm.. swimmer guys..

I hate my boobs!! They are a 44/46 D depending on the style and I hope they go away when I lose the weight i want to. My hubby on the other doesn't want them to go away .. .typical male! :)

I have a hard time finding a decent bra here in SSM, but now that Lane Bryant ships to Canada I am going to order some from there ... in a small town like mine it is so hard to find anything decent.

We have a Penningtons here, but they don't carry many nice bras ... I want to wear the pretty little ones that all the skinnies get to wear lol

My friend had a reduction a few years ago and she is happy she did. I just don't want to go through the pain of surgury, because I saw how much pain she was in ... don't want that ...

It is a new start day for me .... had a few days off ... we got a new puppy and I've been following her around to make sure she makes no accidents in the house! She is good now .. so now i can concentrate on me! And in the summer we can go for lots of walks! Too cold right now ... -26 outside ... BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

DJS, try the Moret sports bras from Target. Best. Sports Bra. Ever. They really helped Laverne & Shirley over here from flopping around while I'm doing my workouts. Highly recommend them.

funniegrrl 01-18-2005 01:28 PM

Laverne & Shirley ... heh heh heh heh ... *snort*

I've never given mine individual names ... they're just "the girls" ...

SwimGirl 01-18-2005 06:16 PM

Dawn - Pennington's has new bra's! I work there, and I barely like their stuff, but we got a seamless molded cup bra, it's cup. And then we got a strapless, 5 way bra, and THEN, we got a cute black bra, it's lacey and very "delicate". We've even got some leopard print bra and panty set.. heh. Can you tell thats my section? I make sure that part of the store is in tip-top shape. Also, on Wednesday anything thats on sale in Pennington's is going additional 50% off the lowest price.

SAPF - I call mine The Bobbsey Twins... my girls like to be lifted and seperated!

Even when I exercise I make sure to keep them looking good, but a good sports bra is SO SO hard to find, luckily my mom bought me a Speedo sports bra, it's still holding up!

I love all of you! :grouphug:

I also like mine... but I get self conscious when my girlfriends mention something about them. Then I decide those A-cuppers must be jealous.... ;)

JennasMom 01-19-2005 06:38 AM

Mine are pretty sad. It is hard to believe that I am 23 years old when I look at them. If they were headlights I would see my feet perfectly in the dark.

I wear about a 40D or DD sometimes. When I exercise I wear the smallest sports bra that I can get on to SQUISH 'em down as much as possible so that they don't bounce and smack me in the chin.

They are acting weird too. They hurt lately since I have been losing weight. Fron June to October when I was losing weight they hurt too, but when I took time off and gained they didn't. I don't know why either... I don't think it is from the exercise. Maybe from them shrinking? I need to make an appointment and ask my doctor.

funniegrrl 01-19-2005 01:34 PM

I just remembered something I thought I'd share ... As I've mentioned, I have ALWAYS been overweight, ever since I can remember. I "developed" early -- started wearing a bra in the 4th grade, and probably should have worn one before that. I'm sure a lot of that had to do with being overweight, but still. Here's the thing: I don't remember the girls EVER being perky. They have ALWAYS been a bit flopply and saggy, even as a merely "chubby" adolescent. Sure, they're HORRIBLE wrinkly deflated sacks now LOL, but my headlights have NEVER looked forward. *sigh*

I'm counting on that lottery win for a lift! Along with other snips-and-stiches ... until then, I love my good bras LOL.

SwimGirl 01-19-2005 01:38 PM

Lindy - mine have been hurting too! This is also happening to my friend and she went to see the doctor and she said that as long as it's hurting, it's a good thing. Personally I don't get it, but I know that the rest of my body is sore, so why wouldn't my chest muscles be sore too? I know I pulled a side muscle a few months ago, and it sends a shooting pain thru my side and my chest.. it's SO unpleasant! It's always a good idea to see the doctor about concerning pains.
