For those who blog question

Just wondering where you get your background/skins for yours. I don't really like the one I have and would like it to look more like my personality. I do know a bit about html and if I spent a few minutes on it, it would probably look better. I've tried a search for some free ones, but once I get on the sites, you have to pay or I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong to get the template on my blog.

I was in the same boat as you. My friend who does web design for a living finally felt sorry for me and redid mine;-)

She is having a blog special if you do decide to pay for some. I will keep on the lookout for free skins for ya though.

this site has a bunch of neat ones. some you have images and stuff. i like the imageless ones best though because they are the easiest to figure out.

Mine is part of my web site and I use Front Page so not really any help to you there.

Hey Dawnyal -- try googling "free blog skin" and you'll see a bunch of different options pop up! A lot of them are pretty easy to use -- that's how I came upon mine. :)

thanks gals (and guy) I think I found one that works. It's not the greatest but at least it's better than that pepto pink I had on it :D

Nothing like a blog thread to get me to come out from under my rock. ;) In the past I've used backgrounds I've seen and liked while out on the web (just right-click and select "save background" or your browser's equivalent). Right now I just have colors, no patterns, so it's not an issue.

But there are some biiig changes in process for Gardenwifes Plot! Heather knows about them...I am *majorly* excited!

barbygirl43 01-12-2005 03:43 PM

welcome back kimberley. I can't wait to see your new changes. I looked over at dave's garden site too. I have such a black thumb, I'm afraid if I tried to do anymore gardening to keeping of plants I would have a black hand too :D

Hello Gardenwife! It is nice to see you out from under your rock! If talking about blogs does that we should talk about blogs more often!

Gardenwife 01-12-2005 06:14 PM

I spent some time with Mandi (designer) chatting today. It's looking so neat! We're having trouble with folder permissions at my host -- grrrrr.

I will not solve this with comfort food...will not. I do need to make myself some dinner, though! :)

To tell the truth, the more I've gotten into photography, the less I've gardened. I spend a lot of time in the Computer Talk, General Discussion, Camera Talk and Photos forums at Dave's Garden...A lot more than I do in the gardening ones! Howie and I get really excited about gardening in the spring, but then we kinda poop out when it comes to routine weeding and maintenance.
