Default 20 ways to win at losing weight (#7)

7. Don't ever starve yourself. Dieting means cutting calories, but less isn't always more. "One of the biggest misconceptions I've seen - including among the women I'm training on the show - is that the less you eat, the more weight you'll lose," says Jillian. "Maybe at first. But your body will think you're dying from lack of food, and your metabolism will adjust by slowing to a crawl." Most women should never eat less than 1,200 calories a day.

My thoughts: I have never been a big believer in starving yourself.

Your thoughts?

ITA Starving is the perfect way to end a diet. I would think you'd feel so miserable and be so depressed that you'd probubly end up binging.I think it's important to work at making your diet healthy and delicous.

I love to eat. I was never at any risk of having an eating disorder (execept maybe overeating). Starving myself just wasn't an option but making healthier choices is. I find that I don't miss the surgery, high fat foods as much as I thought I would.
