OT ~ Sort of a happy update.....

I don't know if you all remember ~ I shared back in October about our family get together ~ how my mom fell and hurt her ankles ~ thought they were just sprained, but turned out she broke both of them. She had spent all this time with casts on both legs. She just got them off yesterday and is able to now put weight on both legs, so she can walk ~ carefully because they are still achy and tender, but she can walk ~ she is thrilled. She takes a cane with her just for balance.

Another nice thing has happened for my parents ~ about the same time as the broken leg incident, their doggy died ~ so it has been kind of lonesome around their house. Well, the little neighbor dog has taken to coming over and visiting them. When "Shorty's" master goes off to work, Shorty is lonesome and goes looking around the neighborhood for company. My parents are retired and there all day ~ so Shorty barks at the door, and dad lets him in and he spends all day with them ~ cuddles up with dad in his chair or with mom on the sofa. On occasion, dad will try to send Shorty home in the eveining and Shorty won't go and spends the night. The neighbor man doesn't mind as long as he knows where Shorty is. I just pray that Shorty doesn't get hit by a car crossing the street. Dad trys to escort him when he can, so he will make it safely across the street.

I think God and Shorty are trying to say something here.Shorty is being sent to where he's most needed and wanted. They say when a door closes a window opens.
