Real Quick Here.. Smoke Free Day 3

I am happy to report being smoke free for 3 days now.

Not so happy to report that I will most likely be gaining some weight beause of it. Not to worry though, I'll tackle that once I get this smoking thing under control!!

Very busy... I plan to catch up tonight.

I MISS YOU GUYS!

Way to go. :cheer:

I'm not a smoker but if it's anything like trying to quit eating sugar, I definitely know what you are going through. It will be so totally worth it, though, when you overcome it. Keep up the good work.

:bravo: Glad to hear your quiting.I used to smoke.Started at 15 and desided to quit at 35.They started to cost to much and I was coughing up yuk all the time. I figured I was spending close to 100 $ a month. The first two weeks was hard but after that I was OK.

Way to go Gretchen!! I gained about 10 pounds and that put me off-track for a bit. I could not fathom logically in my mind that I could lose so much weight to get healthy and continue to smoke. It just did not make sense. First three days are the hardest! You are doing so well!! I've been smoke free for almost 5 months now, and I am so glad that I quit. I did what you plan on doing. Once the cravings were gone I got back on track with my diet. I was actually upset with myself seeing all of you here going forward and me going backwards. It hurt. Then I realized that we are all not the same and things do come up that may cause us to be sidetracked for a bit. The only person I compete with now is myself. Stay strong! You can do this!!

CONGRATULATIONS, GRETCHENGIRL!!!!!!! I'm SO proud of you!! :cp: :cp: :cp:

You've got to be feeling just so great to have gotten this far -- give yourself a HUGE pat on the back!! Did you come out to your hubby about it? Sure hope so, so you can enjoy his support and lean on him during the tough moments... Truly, I'm so happy you're doing this, and really proud of you for getting started. You can do this. You totally know that.

Way to go! You have the perfect attitude - one thing at a time! You are doing wonderful. I know how hard it is - every waking moment it's on your mind. It will get easier, trust me!

All the best to you! Go treat yourself to some pretty nail polish or something. What you are doing is the best!

Dana
