Exclamation Food labels-Are you being deceived?

I found this interesting information while I was just looking around today and thought it would be good to share. Some of you probably already know alot of this, but I thought it was pretty important to share with those who are not aware.

The article reminded of when Gretchen brought up a thread about spray butter that was supposed to be fat free. Here ya go.

Tammy that's an awesome site -- after reading a few of Kaplan's articles I saved his menu on my "Favorites" list so I can return and read more. Really interesting stuff about sports nutrition, weight training and more.

Thanks so much for posting it!

I've mentioned my absolute loathe for the food industry, right?

Thanks for giving me more solid proof.

I think it is important to point this type of thing out. But, a little common sense is in order, too. If you read the ingredients on the label as well as the serving size, you know exactly the kind of monkey business going on. On those non-stick sprays, it doesn't take a genius to realize when the main ingredient is oil and the serving size is 1/7th of a second spray, that you're not dealing with a calorie-free product.
