Need your suggestions

Hey you guys... Now, I know SOMEONE will be able to help me!! Does anyone have a home-remedy for sunburns? My eyelids and forehead are totally swollen! The stinging is gone but the red puffy continues to stay. I have tried milk compresses which have taken the "sting" out but what about the swelling?? I can't believe I got this burnt. I am so fair complected and any sun destroys me. I have no blisters thank goodness but this eye thing is really weird.

I am looking forward to hearing back from all of you...

Thanks you guys!!

Ouch!! That doesn't sound good. :( The only thing I ever use is Aloe. Feel better soon!

Cucumber reduces swelling wonderfully. Cut a couple of "circles" for your eyes and mash the rest. Smear the pulp on your face, lightly cover with cheesecloth (so you can breath) and relax in a lukewarm bath (if you usually read while relaxing in the tub you'll be out of luck). As much as you may love veggies now, I don't recommend using the cucumber as a soup base after this use. ;)

White vinegar compresses will reduce the swelling, as will aspirin or ibuprofen.

I'm the sunburn queen. :)

I know this sounds really insane but years ago my brother got a horrible burn that blistered. My parents took him to the doctor and the doc told him to use Preperation H. Yes, that would be the hemmaroid(sp) medication. It worked like a charm.

Gretchen, Ouch!! Sunburn is really the pits. I hope that you get some relief from it soon.

Gretchen - I feel for you.. I had sunburn so bad a couple years ago I had to go to the hospital..

I agree with the advice already given... Use lots of Aloe Vera on your body... Put a cold cloth over your face for awhile and relax... and definetly cucumbers on the eyes..

Also, make sure you use a good mosturizer so your skin doesn't dry out... On your face, I definetly recommend Clinique - Dramatically Differrent! A little expensive but it works wonders..

I was going to suggest Aloe Vera too, it works wonders on my sunburns. I hope you heal quick!!
