This is great.

Now they need to stop using hydrogenated oil in their buns, on their fries, on their chicken patties, etc.

I think it is McDonald's (or maybe Wendy's?) that's also changing the kids menu. Now, you can get milk or juice instead of soda and a fruit cup instead of fries, and they don't charge extra. (It used to be that they'd charge extra for milk.)

This is great news. Lots of fast food chains are jumping on the healthy bandwagon especially since they see how well restaurants like Subway are doing.

However, I've still yet to try anything healthy from Mcdonalds, I just don't classify them as that type of restaurant. If i'm needing fast food, its always Wendy's or Subway...

How about you guys? Have you tried the Mcdonald's salads and "lighter choices"?

I'd love to hear your opinions...

I like the bacon ranch salad (no chicken added), I only use a little bit of the dressing packet. With a milk to drink, it's a great meal.

I also like the Yogurt/Fruit parfaits. I have them leave the granola off if they can.

The other thing I like to do is just get a Happy Meal. You get a toy & they'll let you get milk to drink. My mom collects the toys & when she gets enough, sends them to my cousins in Mexico (ages 6-15), b/c the toys are different there.

I like ordering a Value Meal @ Wendy's, they let you get a side salad instead of the fries. So I get a grilled chicken, side salad & either iced tea or milk to drink.
