Wow Diana, great job on navigating the pre-Thanksgiving dinner!
My day, once again, went way off the rails. My friend at the hospital was allowed to leave for a couple hours to get his hair cut so he'll look spiffy for a job interview later in the week. I drove him to his appointment and offered to take him to lunch after. I had a gift certificate for a great little place downtown that would have had a bunch of on plan meals calorie-wise but his choice was KFC. Which I get, he currently doesn't have a lot of appetite and KFC definitely is yummy. But whatever the calories are I ate I'm sure I blew through the 1400-1600 range and then some. Not looking forward to the scale tomorrow morning....
Oh I had a gain alright. Nearly 2 pounds. I will say though that some chicken strips and potato wedges (and slaw but I don’t figure that counts) really sticks with me. I ate about 2pm and didn’t eat again til noon today and even then I wasn’t really hungry yet. Still, other than feeding the neighbors chickens I’m home all day: I will eat well and stay under 1500 calories!
we’ll both see a drop tomorrow Diana!!! (Although for me that should be pretty easy...)
Yay for on plan days! May the scale be kind to you this morning Diana!
We got about 6 inches of snow last night. I sure didn’t mind not having to drive into work at 10pm. But this morning is one of my days working at the local food shelf so I’ll still be out and about in it. Glad I just got new tires!
I’ll take my smoothie with me so after 10 I can have breakfast when there’s a break in the action. I usually walk 2-3 miles on food shelf mornings so it’ll definitely be an on plan morning!
weigh-in today was 234.0. I was so surprised I got off and back on to be sure.
Tonight I ate 3 yasso frozen yogurt pops. Not happy that I did it but I kept my calories for dinner lower to try to help. I am happy that I counted everything.
I maintained from yesterday. That's good since I indulged in the yasso frozen yogurt. This has been a rough week in trying to get things done in the office. I can't believe it's only Thursday. But I guess that's good since I still have a ton of stuff to do.
Dinner last night was super yummy and I’m sure it was more than my entire daily calorie goal. But I still intended to weigh in today. However I built a fire in the stove and then went to read in my still warm bed while the house warmed up. And then I forgot all about weighing in when I did get up.
I’m sure I would not have lost or maintained. But I’m fine with that. It’s not like I’m never going to go out with friends. I try to make healthy choices but for those few hours I focus on my friends and not my calories. It would have to be different if I ate out often but it’s a couple times a month. I figure getting back on and staying on plan the next day is an important skill to work on. It’s easy to say “well, there goes my diet. Might as well eat all the food in the fridge today...”
On the other hand dinner wasn’t over til 8pm which means breakfast isn’t till noon. That’s being a bit challenging.
ETA: made it til noon! It’s funny. On days I can eat at 10am I sometimes wait til noon because of this or that. But today noon seemed a challenge. But I made it!

Reason: Update
Yesterday, calories were good and I got a short walk in. I was limited on time due to a Dr's apt. Another day of maintaining, scale stayed the same at 194.
Have a Blessed day and a great start to your weekend!
234.8 today so up a pound but I think this is still a temporary bump up from dinner out two nights ago.
Yesterday was on plan. This morning I got a nice hike in and I have to move fire wood this afternoon so that’s a bit of a cardio work out too.
Maintaining is better than gaining Diana so congratulations!
