Joining!
Hello guys I'm joining in.
I was on here a lot a year ago, but loss momentum. My world kind of flipped upside down last fall. , like really it was a lot going on.
Anyway, I've restarted my turtle diet on Easter this year. My turtle diet is losing 0.8 lbs every 4 weeks, which works out to 0.2 lbs every week. I might be on the slowest diet on here lol.
Still I hope you will accept me. I just reached my goal for my current 4 week period. 169.2 lbs! I'm celebrating today. I made my goal pretty early for this period, but believe or not I did not make my goal last period because my birthday weekend and visiting my parents really caught up with me. So I had to play catch up.
My next goal is 168.4 lbs by 10/14. You guys probably want to laugh, but I'm a still a little worried because my social life can be a non stop eating spree. I plan on posting here every week to keep myself accountable. I do not want to gain my hard work back.

Bloominbutterflies: you’ve found a great, supportive group! It looks like you’ve found something that consistently works for you and consistency is key! Way to go
Today is my last weigh-in before we leave for the coast later. Won’t be back until Thursday night, making Friday (the last day of the month) my next weigh-in. I’ve started trending back down from my jump up this week. I think my plateau for the month of august has something to do with a mental block of mine regarding switching to a different food tracker. I’m back to handy-dandy MFP and coincidentally, I’ve started dropping a little bit again. Here’s hoping it continues over the next few days and I drop on vacation
Have a great Sunday everyone, talk to you later

I hope everyone has had a great weekend! It went by all too fast for me and I didn't really do a thing . I did go into work for a few hours to do some editing on the website but mostly I'm feeling alright with where things are at. We still have over a week until our soft launch so there is some time to add, delete and create. I'm headed home soon to make a slow cooker chicken recipe I found on the internet last week. It' easy and my goal is to use the chicken in lettuce wraps for dinner.
back bloominbutterflies! Not to ever concern yourself with being accepted on this thread; we are where we are regardless of gains, losses, and how many times one starts over. You're always welcome here !
RunningRedHead: Have a great time at the coast. A little R&R at the beach is exactly what you need as you dive back into mode ! To your question, oh no, coding and design will still be in the hands of the experts.
Good to see you, Magicsusan! You are doing tremendous. Seems like there is a lot joy/relief/happiness/peace on various 3FC threads when it comes to kids returning to school !
Wishing everyone a wonderful evening!

I've been hanging in there trying to find the fine line between having a good time and putting on too much weight. Saturday, I reached my goal for this period and celebrated by going out to a late lunch at KFC. I got the dark meat chicken $5 meal and got a big lemon cake to eat there and bring home. But I'm glad I brought my bf Jason with me to stop me from going HAM on that lemon cake, because it was really good! I mean not bakery quality special, but for a cheap lemon cake it was not too shabby. Afterwards I was soo full. For dinner I ate 1 scoop of homemade ice cream, 5 chips, and a popsicle. I know meal of champions lol.
Sunday was art on the lake. It's a small art fair at the city I grew up in, it's only one day, but I'll be darned if I miss it. A lemon shakeup split between me and Jason, and I got the biggest bag of kettle corn they were selling! I was in lemon caramel nirvana, and I think I ate about 5 cups of that popcorn. At the fair I got the world's cutest handmade non-slip towels for the kitchen. I got one for every season, and extra black cat one to represent my kitty Count Dumpling. After the fair I had a little bit of sirloin steak and some brown rice/quinoa for dinner. Jason pushed for snacks when we watched starwars that night but I summoned the will power to say no for me.
I've weighed in the 170.X's the past few days. Nothing alarming yet. Have been eating a lot of junk, but have had very light meals between the junk. Today I plan on eating some of that lemon cake, hard boiled eggs, grapes, yogurt, and I think Jason is going to make some of the leftover steak a mushroom sauce for dinner.

Hey ya . How do you make your chicken lettuce wraps? I've never made them at home before but have had them out. They are so delicious!

bloominbutterflies! I used this recipe easy Slow Cooker Fiesta Ranch Cream Cheese Chicken - Carlsbad Cravings. I substituted chicken thighs because they're more flavorful and don't dry out like chicken breasts. I also used regular chili powder. Other than these two changes I made the recipe as written. It came out delicious and I can see myself using this as filling in different ways: enchiladas, tostadas, etc. When I make it again I will either use more thighs or eliminate the salt. This turned out a tad bit salty and I think it's due to the ranch dressing.

I hope everyone is having a good week. Yesterday concluded my taking one day a week off in August goal. I managed to do it every week except the first week. That only reinforced what I already know about myself, that I'm terrible at taking ! Yesterday I had my haircut and went to see 'Black KKKlansman' directed by Spike Lee. Maybe the key is having actual plans . It was an interesting movie and introduced me to something I didn't know.
bloominbutterflies: The art fair sounds like it was a lot of fun. I know that when I attend something special like that it's hard to pass up on the fun/unique eating experiences. You just want to soak up all the atmosphere! How thrilling that you are in maintenance ! You're doing a very wise thing by keeping an eye on the scale I was in maintenance for maybe 6 weeks before the regain began. It was all incremental. I what I thought was going to happen in maintenance, like somehow the weight would magically know not reappear . Keep doing everything that works and Don't. Let. Up.

Hi everyone, I’m still here...I’ve been working 12-14h days non-stop this week before I start my 2-week staycation tonight at 10pm. I’m swamped at work and tired but hanging in there. I hope everyone is well and in good spirits. I’ll see everyone in the September thread.

Hey guys!! I'm still alive, I swear! I just realized that it was the end of the month, so I wanted to make sure I came back to wrap everything up for August. I've been staying on plan calorie-wise, but I'm still stuck in that same 3-4 lb range plateau. Weigh-in today was 167.2. I have been a lot more lax with the exercise, though, so I'm hoping that - if I start getting more on top of that again - things will start to move again soon. I don't have a full month overview to post, since I haven't been tracking weights on the daily like I usually do, so I will just post the top part that is the general recap:
July 31st Weigh-In: 168.8
Month Goal Weight: 162.0
August 31st Weigh-In: 167.2
Total Month Weight Loss: 1.6 lbs.
So, at least I ended the month lower than where I started - especially considering the ups and downs throughout the month - but, I'm hoping September will be a little more fruitful! See you guys on the next thread!

I did not post enough here, but this has been a big weight loss month for me. Unfortunately part of that is the work stress, it's really killed my appetite so I have been systematically under-eating. I am still working out fairly often to relieve stress and reduce anxiety. Weighed in today at 153.2 so lost ~9 pounds this month.
I bet the weight loss will slow for next month, and I would be perfectly happy if I made it to 149 by the end of September, so the new decade is the goal. We've been TTC for months and no luck so are going to start pursuing the fertility treatment options, first through the OB/GYN. I'm not going to push hard on the weight loss, though this month I dropped a ton of weight I think from stress and so it just may naturally happen.
I'll try to check in more in September!
