diane: for sandals look at Vionic - I have read nothing but good things on them. They have a built in support system and maybe it's what you need. Since it's still off season for sandals maybe you can scoop up a pair on clearance and try.

lil: oh the Irish pub sounds wonderful - I miss having one - most of the bars around here are dives with a questionable clientele hanging out in them so I avoid unless we are in a bigger city with more options. But I do enjoy a good pub! I hope it perked up both your spirits and settled your worries some.

AM: ready to kick this site - it has now lost two of my posts today and that is two too many. Ugh. Or maybe it's it way of telling me to shut up. I am not sure which!

I got my patterns sorted and those to keep toted up and those to go I have to put in a bag for goodwill. I have quite a few for kids that they outgrew and I have a bunch of my own - that with a new shape to emerge (I HOPE) will no longer have to rely on baggy belly hiding options. Maybe they will help another lady out.

The rest of my basement not so much - but with the patterns away I can work on my fabric this weekend as long as DH takes the kids to keep them busy. My youngest is perfectly happy to follow behind me and undo everything I complete. Hah - no!

I did hop on the scale mid aft when I finally took my shower - it was 221.6 and that was after coffee and breakfast and the like - so hopeful tomorrow I am at the 0 point at most.

Heres to continued guessing I have water to still drink and dinner to get and then off to church. So the water has to be reasonable less I am running up and down stairs all evening I am there. Not what I want to do.

Happy evening all and I hope for better posting capabilities tomorrow otherwise this gal will not be a happy broccoli head!

220.8

The day has begun for me and my scale though is a bit less once again; has given me a crazy .8 number. I haven’t really seen it land on to often of late on a .5 or .3 or anything other than 8. But I’ll take the number above. Lowest I’ve been for eleven years.

My upcoming diet swayers - our families little Super Bowl party and a birthday that I’m going to make a blueberry lemon marscapone cake for. I had one at a bakery that was very tasty and I have since found a recipe to try. As I said I’m all ready for spring and this sounds delightful to me for accomplishing that task.

I hope the little takes a nap today as I’d love to get some more done in the basement. But that’s limited I guess because as I mentioned it’d all be pulled out right behind me. Days like this I’d love to have someone to watch the kids so I could just do my own thing. As is, I’ll just move onto a different project and see what I can get done in that area - more cleaning - nothing fun. Well with the exception of getting all the paperwork together for taxes. Then that will be done. Speaking of: I thought all of that stuff was to be available by law on 1/31. I went online for two 1099/98 forms and they didn’t have anything available for this year. What gives? Do I hope it finds my mailbox? I guess.

Can I gripe about my prescriptions? Our insurance will not pay for name brand at all -or at least my own (synthroid). When I called them last year to see what the quarterly cost would be for this year so we could budget for hsa purposes I was told they simply could not give me a price until 1/1/18. Wtf?! So we used the last year prices of 107. Hahahahaha the da*n thing came back at 112/qtr. I noticed that w my child’s allergy meds that the order was sent to them directly that the page said they were readying for shipping “you will find out the cost upon shipment”. HOW IS THIS COST EFFECTIVE? How is it legal at that? How is this company allowed to be in service? We get fined (or so they say) it we have our maintenance drugs filled locally, which these all are. I had never paid more than $6 /qtr for my drug before and last year they never told me I’d be paying 100% out of pocket and they’d prefer me on generic but btdt - makes me go loopy and I have heart palpitations. This group is out of St. Louis and I understand those in the military have the same provider. Once again I will write my senators about this, I had gotten a call from one of mines staff a month ago about my letter. Usually you just ever get an email back w a couple selected paragraphs from their arsenal or canned words. It’s just a total frustration of mine. I like my local pharmacist - they give me helpful hints for taking, if I have problems with being able to dose or even open the bottle (this company sends me ones I can’t open easily and I’ve asked if they have more ergonomic lids NO - deal with it) and my local group will tell me if there is something more economical. Sorry - this group just makes me madder than a hornet and leaves me feeling I have no control over my meds or money for that matter.

Ok - back to flowers and sunshine. Insurance is such a drag.

We are to be back to bitter cold (yuck) for the next week I think and snow is limited so it’s all that dirty icky colored stuff that’s icy coated and really spring can’t get here soon enough to get rid of it all and clean it up.

Ok off to go melt my body to 219. It may just be doable for tomorrow - granted with a .8 behind it because I swear that’s all my scale knows to do in that decimal position. Maybe it’s really a .3 in disguise. Hah.

Happy day all. May your prescription insurance not be as lousy as my own.

270.5

Thought I'd WI today, and get a February 1 starting point. I expected an increase. After all, I've been on my "better eat while you can" kick lately.

LOST 1.5 lbs. I give up. I don't get this stuff at all.

Anyways - We'll see where things stand on 2/28.

Today I went on MFP and I posted that I'd be gone for a bit. I doubt anyone will comment - well, maybe a couple will. My MFP friends are really very un-friend-like. My poor hubby...he can't even keep friends. He has 2 or 3 is all, and except for me, I don't know that anyone comments on his stuff. I have 30 - and I generally get a "like" from about 2, plus hubby. Well, I had 30 - I just deleted like 6 of them that haven't even logged in for over a month. I think when I finally log back in I'll probably delete more. They're boring.

Lemon, I hate insurance, but I'd hate worse to be without it. I have SO many prescriptions. But the whole, "You'll know the cost upon shipping" is just weird!!! Do they ship it and bill you? Do they auto-debit it? What do they do if they ship it and then you say you won't pay for it? Our insurance had a thing for a while where it was cheaper if you got it thru the mail. Thru the mail, you can get a 90 day supply, at a discount. But if you got a 30 or 90 thru a local pharmacy, you still paid full price either way - so if your Rx was $10 for 30, thru the mail you might pay $25 for 90. Thru the pharmacy, you'd pay $30 for 90. We paid the $30. I absolutely refuse to get it thru the mail and have my Rx sit in my mailbox all day. Not to mention I like supporting my local businesses. The discount wasn't worth it to not have a pharmacist to talk to.

I hope tomorrow - or at least very, very soon, you see the teens! Even with a .8 And WTG on your lowest in 11 years! I've got a good long way to go to get to mine.

Wonder if that surgeon would be opposed to a little liposuction? - You know, while he's in there anyway.

I may be back later ladies.

Lil: totally stalking for posts today as itís bitter cold out and my little wanted cookies and Iíd rather type then eat! As for the stinky insurance - they auto deduct at the beginning of the year but those monies I always earmark for appointments in my head so by the end of the year I end up short because I forget about such. Then when those funds are out it moves to me paying the difference. I had that issue last year and I let it sit for a while before paying - however they say if you donít pay you wonít get filled. I paid after a smidge but damnable they arenít friendly by any means. And they cause me utter frustration. Iím on one maintenance drug and by no means of controlling how my body processes it I can only take name brand. When I take the generic I have heart palpitations, extreme tiredness, I become very *itchy quickly, I feel cold all the time, I want to go to bed by noon if I wake at 8am, I get fat, I eat sweets only to give me some sort of burst and it never happens, I have poo issues and these are just the simple things. Long term it can cause heart issues if left alone. So really, just give the woman her name brand for the tier 1 cost the body and the doctor agree on the name brand - the insurance prefers the generic. Iím glad they can run my body. Insert bad word here.

Iím glad you are thinking better thoughts for tomorrow. Iíll say a prayer you do just fine. The lipo cracked me up! Throw in a tummy tuck too and youíll be svelte in a blink

Whatís for lunch today? Are you meeting DH? Enjoy!

AM:

Made cookies for the little and had a few. Bad I know will be mindful the rest of the day. They were my peanut butter chocolate chip. I donít make too often as Iíll eat too many. Why does pb and chocolate do that to you?

I have to gather what I have for tax info laying around as we go next week. The good news is we donít pay until they are done and will submit. Iíd rather someone who knows where to really comb through numbers and the law about such to do my taxes. Or too if I was super confident in my math - but Iím not so to the accountant we go.

The suns out but itís so totally misleading as itís still -20 below. Is it spring yet?!

I need to go check my plant babies to feed them and eat my avocado here soon. What they have in common is they are both green and make me think of warmer temps. And a slimmer body. But then there are the cookies . . .

Lilion: Well, what a nice gift from your scale this morning! Who knows why we gain or lose weight... it just doesn't make sense so much of the time! Anyway, glad you got some good news! I'm on MFP too, and I really just use it for recording food and exercise. I'll read some of the community section, but when I had friends (very few), it was boring. There wasn't much for being friendly like here!! Still hoping for the best for you and the surgery.

Lemonthyme: Congrats on your new numbers too! How nice! You are getting closer to a new decade, and that is always fun. And, you're being so productive with clean up. Very good! On the Vionic shoes, I'll have to go take a look. I wore an older pair of shoes that I used to really like, but they are clogs and I couldn't wear my inserts. I don't think I can use those anymore because my foot was really hurting last night. Ugh!

As for me, I came down a little bit on the scale this morning, off the high I had yesterday. My scale goes in .2 pound increments only, and it came down .6. That's better, but still have a ways to go to get back to Monday's weight. Not sure what happened there. I'm not sure if I'm still holding on to whatever and it will go back down, or if I get to struggle a little bit more. Just love trying to figure it out.

I didn't go to the gym this morning. I just didn't want to lift weights yet, so I stayed home. My back is better, but I'm wanting to let it rest a little yet. I don't know if that was the best choice, but it is what I decided. I might consider going to run tonight depending on everything feeling ok. Aging is so much fun. I have spin class in the morning, so I'll go to that for sure. The weekend looks to be sunny and in the 50's, so hiking might even be an option!

I'm back.

I DON'T WANT TO BE AT WORK TODAY! Finding it impossible to concentrate. I have a hearing in 1/2 hour and a couple things to review...then I may take off. After all, I'm really caught up and have plenty of time to get stuff done when I come back...

Had last night's dinner left-overs for lunch. Not what I wanted, but whatev. I think hubby and I will go out to dinner tonight. There's a local Italian/American restaurant we really like. We usually get a large dinner salad and a pasta there, and split them so we get half of each. I don't want to eat so much I'm ready to burst. I see that as a bad thing the day before surgery. They didn't say I needed to eat lightly today, but better safe than sorry.

Diane, Glad your scale is going down. Your hike sounds nice. I want to take a hike...at 65 degrees. Not now when it's 32 and below.

Lemon, I love cookies. Peanut butter chocolate chip are some of my favorites - but to be fair, I don't think I've ever met a cookie I didn't like. When my son was little, I used to make shortbread cookies for him whne he wanted sweets. Butter, flour and sugar...that's all there is to it generally...and I always had those things on hand. I never had fun things like chips and peanut butter, because if I did, I'd eat them! I had that recipe scaled down to make like 6 cookies so I wouldn't have them around to eat!

Alright...I guess I better get back to the job at hand.

Good afternoon!

Lilion - A little lipo seems reasonable for them to kick in. So jealous of your caught-up status! Can't wait to join the caught-up club! Hope your medical woes will soon be behind you. Forever. You've had enough to last for decades just this last year.

Lemon Wow! Lowest in 11 years? Huge congratulations! I also get frustrated with insurance, and with other people making decisions that really don't matter that much to them but have a huge impact on my life.

Diane - Ugh on the continued injuries. Glad you're going to spin tomorrow, and hope you're able to get that run in tonight, and that you're back to lifting weights soon. Hope that the scale gives you the boost you deserve.

I got to the gym yesterday. I ran a mile in 9:37, which is super good for me, before doing some weight lifting. Trying to ease back into regular gym-going.

Also decided, quite suddenly this morning, to go vegan again. Not sure how committed I am to it, but my son was going to buy Quizno's and join me for lunch. I texted him asking him to get me some spinach and blueberries instead. He decided to join me for lunch (and yes -- eat the weird lunch that no one else has ever approved of) and has decided to go vegetarian as well. I am going to continue to eat eggs occasionally, and maybe a bit of cheese, but for now, I am going to try to get 95% of my calories from unprocessed vegan food. I am trying to eliminate caffeine and flavor drops (think Mio) for my water as well. For at least a week. I want to see if I can feel fantastic.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Well here I am....last check in before I log off for a few days.

Laurie - I could never be vegan...and I think you are going vegetarian (still eating cheese and eggs) but yeah....maybe I could handle that kind of vegetarian. Probably not. If people weren't meant to eat animals, they shouldn't be so tasty. I have great respect for people who can eat that way though. I couldn't do without my Mio.

I'm caught up because the boss knew this was coming. I was actually behind, but thanks to a very light schedule - thank you boss lady - I was able to get not only caught up, but ahead to the point that when I come back on the 13th, I won't have anything due for 5 days! After that I have STAY caught up though, for my vacation in March. Does feel really good though.

And on that note...it's 5:00 and I'm outta here! "See" you all in a few days!

Hello all! I see some familiar names and some new names. I don't know if any of you remember me but it has been awhile. I had gotten down to 225 lbs and my health took a turn. I was tired all the time and in so much pain. The specialists thought I had RA but now have determined it is fibro and still testing for lupus. Anyways I have been to SO many doctors, naturopaths, and specialists over the last couple years. My weight shot up to 276 pounds and I was so miserable. I restarted October of last year and I have lost 35 pounds to date. I decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and take control of my health. Right now I am following IF or fasting along with a healthy diet. I have removed sugars and breads and it has helped with my inflammation markers that are so high.

I am hoping I can rejoin this group if you all will have me. I am finding I need support as I try and truck through a healthier weight. It so hard when you made so much progress and you gain so much more weight.

I hope everyone is doing well. I am going to read the posts.

Hi guys, so I disappeared a bit but only because work this week has been a little hectic. My office turned 20 (years old) last year and so this week we've had a major strategic planning for the next decade type of activity with an outside consultant to facilitate and all-day workshopping type activities. Having computers open was frowned on and participation was mandatory so it kind of threw me off my planned check in schedule. Anyway, I've gone back to catch up on all I've missed and wow guys!!!!! (See Below) Plan wise, January ended with a bang and not a good one, either, nope a bad bang, a "thank goodness February is here and we can evacuate out of January" bang. So, I'm treating yesterday like the first day of my weight loss journey year and so far it's going okay. I joined someone I follow on Instagram's running challenge which started yesterday in which you're supposed to run 100km in 6 weeks- it's super doable, so it was motivation to join for someone as out of shape as I feel. I walked/ran my corridors last night (as instead of getting up early to exercise, I had a lie in with a romance novel till the last possible moment not to be late for work) but today I woke up before my alarm and only had a mini lie in before getting up to go running. Hopefully this trend continues. I don't plan to only run, but it's a good way to get back into things.

Lemonthyme: Yayyyy your NSV in dem size 16 jeans!!! Yassssss!!!! Also, I'm crossing my fingers that you get your new decade today or at least early next week. The 2-teens are more than deserved!!! Well done you!!! Don't let Chinese sizing get you down. In US sizing, I'm a 10 or a Medium to Large depending, in Chinese sizing (from Amazon), I own 2Xs and 3Xs. In fact, I think one of my swimsuits is a 4X. It is what it is! Better the clothes fit and look right than an arbitrary number on a size tag based on a sizing structure in a foreign country. Lolz at out-of-shape footballer, I have aspirations of being an out-of-shape "soccer" player, heck I'd even take being an out-of-shape quarterback (they aren't the biggest, are they? In any case, that's the only other position I know other than linebacker). Re spring clothing, the weather here is the same year round so wardrobe changes vary more by changes in taste than necessity. I'm more a cake head than a cookie monster, but cookies-wise, chocolate chip is my favourite and to be honest, I don't really "get" or "like" peanut butter (whispers: or jelly, especially grape jelly, especially in combination with peanut butter and certainly not on bread;still whispering: please don't hurt me, I know it's a bit of a travesty to an American cultural icon). But I think chocolate chips make everything better so I can imagine the temptation! I'm sorry about the insurance frustrations. My suspicion is that they make money by frustrating you out of your benefits... like they make things so hard that it almost becomes worth it to pay for certain things out of pocket. Sigh... Oooh also, what are your top 5 bucket list countries/places to visit if money was no object.

Lillion: First of all, I'm praying everything goes well with your surgery this morning and that your surgeons are filled with wisdom and skill and your recovery is above and beyond expectation. Very belated answer about the weather where I live, we only have 2 seasons- the rainy season (when it rains heavily almost every day for 7 months out of the year from April to October) and the dry season (where it rains a bit maybe once every couple of weeks from November to March). Both seasons are really humid (relative humidity never gets under 80% and is much more often in the 90s, so it's pretty sticky) and the temperature is constantly in the 80s year-round, occasionally getting into the 100s when the seasons change. Funny story but when I was in elementary and high school, we'd get excited when the weather got into the low 70s in the mornings because it was "cold" enough to wear our school sweaters but that's pretty rare in my part of the country I live. We mostly dwell in the 80s year-round, night and day. Re: MFP, I literally have ZERO friends on there. I'm not sure how one adds friends there besides, I log even bingey days and it might be a bit embarrassing for people I know to see how much I eat sometimes. I totally get you vis-a-vis remote doctors. I've had quite a few chronic digestive woes (that God-willing, I'm healed from now since surgery last year) over the past 5 years and so I've seen all sorts of doctors for it and there's nothing worse than a doctor that makes it look like you're a tremendous burden even though you/your insurance company are paying the heavens for their 5 minutes. I hope you find a better doctor and that this surgery makes you feel better than ever.

Diane: It sucks that you're still battling with injury but I'm so inspired by you as always that you're still keeping at it and I think it's awesome how you made your spin instructors day like that. Any more opportunities for hiking coming up?

Laurie: Congratulations on your new responsibilities!!! It shows they see your value and recognize how great you are at what you do. #SuperStarLawyer #SuitsButOn3FC #NeverActuallyWatchedSuitsButIImagineYouDoingLawye rlyThingsAtWorkLikeMeghanMarkleExceptI'mHopefullyR eliablyInformedThatShesNotALawyerOnTheShowOrInReal LifeSoIDon'tKnowWhyI'mSpecifying . Anyway, it sounds like a great opportunity. Too bad it's getting in the way of your vacation time. I hope they show your appreciation "properly" if you know what I mean... Not just adding new responsibilities, they should make it count and sweeten the pot in some tangible way. Oooh please keep us posted about your vegan journey. I like meat not passionately, but I like it well enough, and I find many fruits and some veggies and grains and legumes hard on my digestion and then don't eat soy, so I don't see myself going vegan- but I'm sort of obsessed with the whole foods, "clean eating," paleo lifestyle even though I'm at best 60-40 at executing it myself (because bread) so I follow lots of vegan pages for "clean eating" ideas and would love to witness a going vegan journey myself. So I'm crossing my fingers that you'll want to share that with us. I hope everyone in your family is feeling better and everything is well with you.

Jenni: Hello! I feel like I remember you. Like maybe we were in a 6-week weightloss challenge together on the 20-somethings board a few years ago run by Ristrella(sp?) or something. Anyway welcome!!! I'm so sorry to hear you've been going through IT health-wise. I had some chronic digestive issues that put me in and out of hospital constantly for 5 years and one of my favourite chronic illness support YouTubers went through the gamut of misdiagnosis/underdiagnosis for RA and fibromyalgia. I hope you get all the answers you need soon so that you can get some solution. Congrats on 35lbs down, that's amazing. I'm so happy you've found something that works. The power of diet and eliminating of foods that trigger inflammation is truly amazing. I look forward to getting to know you. We're all experts on the losing weight variety of hard here.

Okay guys. I hope you guys have a great weekend. My goal is to work out at LEAST once and to stay within calories today and tomorrow. Sending hugs and prayers to everyone with health or injury challenges. Be blessed you guys!

No sadly the cookies and the pasta I made last night moved my scale up rather than down:

222

Sadness, but [email protected] my cookies were good!

Toasted: so I’m guessing you may be south of the equator if I read the weather patterns right? Sounds like you have an either or - hot or humid. Neither is appealing! Sorry this girls hair looks like the broccoli icon I post often - when it’s humid. Hah! As for 5 places I’d like to get to, in no particular order: Prince Edward Island (I fell in love w the scenery I saw in Anne of green gables movie w/Megan fellows), Ireland (been to - lovely would love a more relaxed pace then a week provided), New Zealand (however flight time I’m not a fan of - plus I’d have to be up and mobile every hour to keep the blood flowing), Morocco just because the markets seem so mysterious to me and I still have a 50s vibe in my head about it after seeing a Doris day movie of old and traveling route 66 through the US - you see so many different things off the beaten interstate system. Oh there’s ton more places and New Zealand is a new thought of late. I’d love to go back to my family’s ancestral homes and meet my husbands ancestral areas in Europe, I’d love to get back to Italy as well. I have done a bit of world travels when I was single and on my honeymoon. I love to explore places, try foods, people watch, see old buildings that still stand today and soar without all the technology that we have at our disposal yet they are still standing and they are still beautiful and without the equipment we use to build right now - takes ones breathe away. Those things all amaze me.

As for the weight - you’ll get it moving again. I’m sure of it. And besides don’t think of January as a bust - totally throw in December’s festivities that hang in there too! February will be good for you!

Jennie: hello! I’m a new one and I tend to struggle with this diet thing. I tend to feel like an abacus as I slide back and forth often. Good for you on being 35 down! I know it’s a nice feeling! Keep up the good work! Are you doing the ANA testing? I am positive for that on the lupus anticoagulant. In my case it doesn’t mean lupus but it does mean I have a host of other issues that can crop up. Right now It’s status quo and I haven’t done further investigative work at this point. Mine was related to miscarriages and studying for that.

Laurie: I hope your diet change works for you. Will you depend on Soy a lot? Have you done this before and had lots of luck? So next week if I read correctly are you sitting by a pool or the ocean? Warmth sounds divine right now as it’s -10 this am here and the windchill settled as we have warnings out to -25. Yuck. Send me some warm sunny days will you? Enjoy your travels!

Diane: how are you feeling today? My shoulder is back to being miserable. I had to break my IF early as I needed to take ibuprofen and I can’t do that on an empty. I will be taking Aleve here shortly as well. The ice just went back to the fridge. Oh it stinks when the body rebels!

Are you having DS over for dinner this weekend? Is he still your hiking buddy?

Lil: hope this finds you recuperating well and all tucked up and I hope DH is taking good care of you and you are feeling lots better! Will you have to watch your fat intake from now on?

Hello all!

AM: here I sit and the scale is up. I made a dinner last night that was a hotdish and we all know what happens with this type of food. It had some cheese and pasta and ground beef and then throw my cookies in as dessert on top of it. Well I’ll call it a day off from the diet. I have Sunday night that will be hinky food wise and then a birthday meal next week to do. Otherwise I’ll try to keep to the straight and narrow the rest of the time.

I’m still thinking up some things to get or do sewing wise for spring. I have some ideas and would like to just go sit and look at the books instead of online. I love books of all types and online doesn’t give me the same response - I don’t know why.

Well before I loose another post, I’ll post. Happy weekend all!

PS: why are moms always gifted the jobs that can make us gag? I’m just sayin’!

And

Just saw this: makes my teeth hurt just looking and my fat cells pop

Lilion: I know you're already on your way with surgery. Prayers and happy thoughts for you to get through this easily and with flying colors! We'll miss you while you're away.

Laurie: Now are you going vegetarian while on vacation, too? I hope it works well for you! But, no, I won't be joining you on that one. I think I'd go paleo before I'd go vegetarian. But hey, if it makes you feel good, I think it is awesome for you!!!

JenJen: I'm thinking that I recognize your name, too. I've been on here forever, so I think it is possible. Welcome to our group!! There is a lot of supportive people in this group, so I think you'll appreciate being a part of it! I hope your health issues aren't too bad and that you can move forward with weight loss without too many problems with pain. We're here for you!

Toasted: Hey, February is a new month, a good time to start!!! I like your running challenge. I'll bet that will help a lot. Sometimes if you have the pressure of meeting a deadline of some kind, it can keep you motivated to go forward!!

Lemonthyme: Darn cookies!! Hey, I checked out that shoe you recommended. I think I'll try ordering a pair at some point. They do look like they would be comfortable. And, that's where I am... comfort. I looked at that dessert link. Hmm. That's a lot of sugar!! I don't think I'd like that much. I like desserts, but I like more simple, plain things. I would really like to see them construct it!!

As for me, I had a decent weigh in this morning and it looks like some of the bloat or whatever it was, has gone away. I would like to have it lower by Monday's official weigh in, so I think I'll go hiking a couple of times this weekend. I went to spin this morning. It was an "endurance" class. Not my favorite thing at all. That means a lot of high speed for long periods of time. Ugh. I think it is boring, and all I can think about is how much I want to stop. But, I will admit that it is an incredible workout. My glutes are feeling it.

Non-weight related... so I scheduled a hair appointment for a week from Saturday. I've dyed my hair for forever and it is very gray underneath the color. I've decided to go natural, so I have an appointment for hair color, but she's going to help me transition to gray. I have a little longer than shoulder length hair and I don't want to go short, but I also can't handle just having the color grow out. So, new look for me... medium brown to whatever she decides will work for me. Excited, but also scared to death!!!

Diane: you go! I bet you will look spectacular with the gray because as we age and our hair may change in color so Do our skin tones to match and you may find you feel older going to the gray but in the end you will probably look smashing embracing what matches the rest of you. Your eyes will probably sparkle more too. I worked with a gal that was probably more white than gray and always dyed it very dark brown. Her skin tones read what her roots said. I know I myself am dealing w more whites daily so I can understand a hair change which defines you (hair always does in some way good or bad) and itís hard to age. Good luck to you and wonderful! And maybe your stylist will convince you to make a change even going shorter with some layers may change it up for you.

Yeah for the shoes - I havenít tried them yet but ladies w foot issues have lots of good views on. Iíve been using my tevas that have the vibrinonics (I think) footbed - so an arch and heel area. I wore them for most of my Disney trip - went well.

Am: my ILS are taking my kids tonight so I have asked DH to help me with some of the house cleaning. And maybe that crazy basement I keep avoiding.

Iím going to plant some more seeds today in hopes they will spout and get going. My geraniums are sprouting leaves and are starting to smell like they do in summer so even better.

Dietwise - not so good. Iím thinking tom is on its way. Iím big on sweets the last two days. But since my body no longer reflects my normal schedule Iím in limbo. What a pain. Letís just say that whole journey is a pain in my butt. It may also explain why comfort foods have been calling me.

So will try to tackle the weekend as best I can.

Happy weekend all.

No w/i

Morning all!

Iím up and looked at the weather. Weíre to get up to 3Ē of snow and itís still to be hanging in the bitter numbers that we have had for cold. Iíll just stay bundled in the house and look out the windows today.

I hope to get back on the wagon Monday. Iím most certain the next two days wonít be mindful anything in the food world for me. Iíll try but I know up front it wonít be my best Iím sure.

So my weekend will be filled with cleaning and taking a quick care of my new plants. Maybe if I can get a few rooms really cleaned I will feel a bit more together. You know how you feel in life when everything is a bit off? I sometimes find having clean areas helps settle my thoughts. Alas, one of the things to do. And I need to finish my laundry - I just ran out of steam yesterday.

So that is my little day right now. Next week is our date weekend and maybe Iíll think about making something to dress up a bit in to feel pretty. Sometimes when Iím at home a lot I forget to do that. It makes me feel better about myself if I take a moment to look nice and spend a bit of time on me. Usually Iím just doing everything for everyone else.

Happy weekend all. Iím sure it will be quiet here.

Laurie: enjoy the start to your trip

Lil: hope you are feeling good!

Diane: new shoes - exciting! Let me know if they really are as good for the feet as I read. Iím hoping to get to a show outlet near here that in the past has carried them. I like happy feet.

Toasted: hope your weekend offers you respite and a moment to catch your breath.

Jen: how is your loss going?

Ok - Iím off to go avoid the scale and I hope today to get the water back in me but good.
