  • Good morning ladies! I had a bad post Thanksgiving week so this week should be the last of the gains I see, as I am slowly coming back down to my starting weight.

ylime Welcome!! That is awesome that you stayed on track at your holiday party, and extra kudos for leaving the party before desert was served!!!

morningglory Thank you! Congrats on getting right back on track after the other night, that is the hardest part, but if you have that part down, then you will be unstoppable!! I hope that your weigh in yesterday went well!

gulf How have the classes at the gym been going?

active That is a huge boost!! I think my new scale has me around 45% for body fat, I know that isn't the most accurate way to measure BF, but it sounds about right... I am quite flabby for my weight!

laura and princess HI!! I hope you guys are doing well!!

Kfunk I like the classes, thank you for asking. Going to the gym has helped me feel more proactive and accomplished. It's nice to feel strong, even if the scale is being stubborn. How are you dearest?

  • Hi folks,

It is good to see everybody doing so well!

MorningGlory Do not let that salt weight discourage you. I am the same way. A trip to Taco Bell and I am up 3-4 pounds. It is partly why I switched to body fat percentage as a metric. It does not have the day to day fluctuations that the scale does. And there is really no point in checking it more that once a month.

Gulfmagnolia I love me some gym classes too! I like the camraderie and accountability of having a class or gym to go to work out.

kfunk Thanks for the shoutout. Hope you are having fun with this mild winter we are having.

I averaged 60 minutes of exercise a day this week. Somewhat shy of my 75 minute goal for 6 days a week but something that I can live with. Hopefully , I will have a higher number to report next week.

    Best, Dee aka activeadventurer
  • gulf That is awesome that you are feeling strong, I admire your dedication!! AND, look at how close you are to onederland, so EXCITING!!!!! I am holding steady at the same weight, but notice a difference in how my jeans fit around the waist, so that is encouraging!

active 60 minutes per day is great!!

This is the second week on Weight Watcher's Freestyle. I have stayed on it as written and thought I might have lost more. BUT, I am glad that I am losing and not bingeing, especially this time of year!

kfunk ~ I started this last losing journey on 11//4/2016 @ 169.8. I was using Medifast and lost weight rather quickly, getting down to 131 by May, 2017. However, I started to dillydally with the program and quickly gained almost all of it back. So on November 15 of this year I restarted at 160 with Weight Watchers...so I have lost 15 pounds in a relatively short time. (I lost 13 pounds the first week!)

Now it is slow....so as far as the 140's go, yes I feel somewhat "normal" at this weight, but I am short, so 120-125 I will feel 100% better. Because of my crazy fluctuations, I never fully comprehend the change in decades. This time when I finally get back to the 130's, I will.

I am just trying my best...one day at a time...to get to goal. I think we all are.
  • morningglory That is awesome that weightwatchers is working so well for you!! My weight loss has slowed way down too, but its okay because I have been able to have a nice balance of treats here and there and not restricting to the point of deprivation.
  • Hi Folks,

Happy to see people checking in and staying with it. Consistency is a key element in my expereince. It is not what happens on any one day, it is what happens in all the days when I add them up.

I logged an average of 61 minutes of exercise per day this week. October of 2016, I broke my hip and had to have surgery. Something I did this week flared it up. My muscles on the side of my left hip are really tight. I took a couple of days off and see the physical therapist tomorrow. I thought I might swim today. We are expecting a high of -4 today. Yikes!!!!
