  • Rennie thank you once again for keeping this thread going. Hope you are well.

So I finished August with a 4-pound loss and am now at 250.8. I think that not weighing in daily helped with my sanity. I was active 17 out of 31 days, better than in past months but there's room for improvement. I also ate on plan and had restaurant/take out only 6 days out of the month (a little room for improvement). Four pounds is just ok and at that rate it would take me two years to reach goal, but I won't focus on that or else I'll get discouraged. I just want to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle and weight will come off when it does.

    Have a wonderful month everyone!
  • I slacked off on tracking in August but I'm back on track for Fall!

  • Thanks for starting this thread, Rennie! Good Luck, Everyone!

  • Glad to see this thread! I'm starting week 7 on IP and need accountability for sure....anxious to get into the next clothing size. Anyone here also have several sizes of clothes hanging in the back of the closet from years earlier, that you're looking forward to wearing during your weight-loss journey?

  • and good afternoon!

Glad to see old friends and new ones in the neighborhood kicking off September in positive ways! I wish I could feel as positive about our weather here. Today it is 109 degrees and tomorrow it's supposed to be 112 degrees!

ComfyCritters! Your question about fitting back into clothes really hit home with me. My goal this month isn't so much pounds but actual proof that these clothes are fitting better or even fitting. Maybe my pants won't zip but I can get them over my thighs. Skirts that now fit but are too snug will fit comfortably. Do you see what I'm saying? I get very tied to the number on the scale but forget that it's one marker of success. Best of luck to you on your journey. I hope you become a regular on this and other threads that might interest you.

Martine: A four pound loss is fantastic! Better a loss than a gain, right?
  • Evening everyone
I'm aiming for more of an activity goal this month than weight loss specifically. My goals are to meet my step goal (10K) daily and to consistently work at C25K (starting Monday ) and if I manage to lose a few pounds in the process, so be it. Glad to see everyone
Rennie: Thank you as always for keeping these threads going
ComfyCritters: I have a couple of bins full of clothes I can't wait to see fit (some again, some for the first time).

  • Good Morning!! <-- although it's still dark where I am

I worked yesterday and have today and tomorrow to go, then a beautiful day off coming up on Monday. Just wanted to check in this AM before work and see how everyone was doing. Enjoy your weekend!

  • ComfyCritters I used to hang on to a lot of smaller clothes in the hopes of losing weight but it's taken too much time and they went out of style. I have a few pieces from when I had lost 20 pounds a couple of years ago before gaining it all back and I'm hanging on to them for now.

curvynotlumpy when September 1st hit here, Fall temperatures came with it

RunningRedHead I too moved from a weight goal to an activity goal. All the ups and downs and not seeing significant drops on the scale were depressing. Now I track my activity instead and make sure I eat well. Wishing you success with the C25K.

I started the month by taking a long evening walk with Loki. Almost talked myself out of exercising yesterday. I ran errands in the morning and crashed and slept all afternoon. But I am resolved to be active each day this month, so after supper I talked myself into that walk.

Hope everyone will enjoy a great Saturday!

    01: 3.3km walk
  • Martine I am following your example of being active every day this month (with the exception of yesterday.) I really like the idea of reaching for activity goals rather than weight goals. Scale be damned! My rather emotional (and unnecessary) relationship with the scale needs a break. Thanks to you & Redhead for leading the way

Comfy & Curvy <----- that sounds like a clothing brand.... I am so there with you on the collection of old clothes across the sizes. Here's to fitting in and then out of them
  • gulfmagnolia yes, the scale does not own us. I'm sure that with all that you've been doing on your plan, you have noticed significant physical and health-related changes that the scale does not show. Like curvynotlumpy said, just seeing clothes fit better is a win. Much success in reaching your activity goal this month!

RunningRedHead no long weekend off for Labour Day?

What has everyone been up to this weekend? Other than the usual chores and errands, we've been watching some shows on Netflix. Today will be more of the same as it's rainy and gloomy outside. No long walk for me today but I have another workout planned. Yesterday before supper, I walked again with Loki but for longer than before. Poor little one had thrown up earlier in the day but he was up for a long walk. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
