gulf you are doing amazing! You will meet your goal.

kfunk our house used to have a ton of slumber parties! I remember the kids going through a lot of food! Good for you not giving in to the rice crispy bars.

My scale was up .6 today. Not going to worry because my weight always jumps all over the place. If I had not been good then I would worry. Still waiting for that whoosh. I've been waiting since this challenge started...

gulf Fantastic loss last week, great job!!!

ubee CONGRATS!!!! That is a huge accomplishment!! I did fantastic on Friday and Saturday, however, Sunday was a bust for me. You give me the motivation to be committed 100% all of next weekend!!

I will be going strong for the next 7 days, that I promise!!!

kfunk I will take that as a 7 day challenge! Sunday is a huge challenge for me to behave so I want to go in feeling strong. It will be one meal only so I will need to get right back on track.
We are so doing this!
What happened on Sunday? Stress? Temptation? Tired?

ubee We've got this!! Do you feel good about the beginning of the week coming out of a great weekend??

I have a really hard time when we are on the go. Most weekends there is a day where we are out and about all day. We live an hour away from our families, so that is 2 hours of drive time right there, plus all the errands, etc. I am also usually tired from staying up later the night before. Knowing we have baths and bedtimes for the kids when we get home makes it really easy for me to justify going to a restaurant to keep from cooking when we get home. We managed to skip the restaurant and ate lunch at my inlaws, but I was a bottomless pit, I ate a very large amount of food. Later that night I was very tired and sore and decided to take a rest day with my workouts.

Today has been better!

Breakfast: piece of toast with PB and coffee + creamer
Lunch: ground beef, tomatoes, lettuce, onion, cheese and sour cream
Snack: grapes

I decided that I am going to give up diet coke. I have wanted to do so for a very long time, but it has been pretty helpful to me while I change my eating habits. Its time though.

kfunk it is so great to start the week thinking I am going to lose more instead of I have to get all of this off by next Monday.
I gave up soda and do not miss it at all.
I don't like salads at home but I like them at a restaurant. Maybe when you eat out and it is not a special occasion you could make a deal with yourself to only order a salad?
I see you made your 190 goal! Congrats it must feel so good!

ubee That must be an awesome feeling knowing that you don't have to undo the weekend damage! How long did it take for you to not crave soda after you gave it up? I love salad!! It does feel good making my 2nd goal, 2 more to go!! This definitely helps!

Had roasted veggies and baby red potatoes with parmesan cheese for dinner and also got my workout in!

kfunk I am not sure how long it took but it was gradual. As I started eating healthier I no longer liked the metallic/artificial taste of it. I would like to suggest an experiment. When you have a moment of very quiet time (with no one around and all electronics off) sit down with your beloved soda. Take slow sips of it with your eyes closed focusing on the taste. Make yourself drink the whole can or bottle do not give up halfway through deliberately focus on each swallow and the taste. Report back to me after you are done if you still like it. Make sure you sit down the whole time also. You can have it cold but no ice.

ubee That sounds very interesting; I will try that experiment and let you know! Not liking the taste anymore will be the desired outcome for sure! I am dragging today, soooo tired. I feel like a chiropractic adjustment, a professional massage and a nap would be heaven right about now!

How did you do yesterday?

kfunk I did great yesterday. Thanks for asking. I slept very well and the scale is now down to 238. That is 1.8 overnight. Not sleeping well really makes me retain water or something. Must be the cortisol/stress thing. Any chance of a nap today?

ubee YAY, great job!! Sleep makes a huge difference for me too! No possibility of a nap for me, but I made my list of things to get done when I am home tonight and the minute they are completed I am going to snuggle in the with the kids and go to bed, hopefully they will agree to lay down with me around 7ish!!

boopchick you are down 20 pounds! WOW! Do you always lose that fast?

kfunk I will not make goal either but I am glad to be going back down and I am going to try to get as close as I can. I am ready for a nap and that is not happening but going to bed at 7ish sounds like a plan.
