Thank you kfunk I appreciate it! I realize now it’s probably due to my Mirena... I just found out that it isn’t properly placed, so I have to get it taken out in a few days. With that said, I have had back acne on my shoulders and back, unwanted hair growth and seriously thinning hair since i started 13 months ago, so I’m trying to decide now if I want it replaced with one of the smaller versions of it with slightly less hormones or not at all. Ugh! Such an annoying thing to worry about, especially since I got the Mirena so that I never had to worry.

And by the way, you’ll get there! I originally lost about 40 pounds and then hit a year-long plateau. I was having other health issues then, got tested for various sensitivities, and the other 45 pounds has just fallen off since making those adjustments back in February. It’s so important to find out what our bodies are reacting to, at least for me. Good luck everyone

Inching closer to the 150s on the scale. 161 today, but the new low may be due to the holiday parties I had this weekend - I get too stressed to eat much around certain groups of people. I've got 4-5 more parties through the new year.

I'm starting to see the familiar dips on the sides of my knees and the tendons in my hands again. I miss the details of my body (like my collarbone and shoulder blades, etc.) - they're completely gone when I'm overweight.

Shtinkingforever: Welcome to the thread! Congrats on the loss so far!

chel5sea I also had problems with Mirena. It flipped upside down the first time I had it placed and then the second time I spotted for 11 months straight before I gave up and had them take it out. I hope that you find a good solution if you chose to move away from Mirena! That is awesome that the weight is falling off of you after the adjustments! Did you feel better pretty fast after changing your diet?

boop I hope that it sticks!!

Chanticleer That's awesome that you are getting closer to the 150's, but I am sorry to hear that it is stressful for you to eat around everyone at the parties that you are attending.

175

Good morning all!

Chanticleer you'll be in the 150's before you know it! Hoping you can enjoy the rest of your holiday parties.

chel3fsea it sounds like you have found your groove and are doing great!

Shtinkingforever & Wannabehealthy how's it going? Hope your week is treating you well!

kfunk Isn't it great how active this thread is now? The more the merrier!!

Hanging out in the 180's and my next short term goal is to make it into the 170's by early January.

Have a great day everyone!

Still hanging around 161-162 or so. It's dipped down a couple times, but I doubt I'll hit the 150s before the new year. I seem to stall at the end of each decade (I did it in the 90s, 80s, 70s, and now 60s).

kfunk: Thanks. Having so many holiday parties makes me a ball of stress from December through New Year's Day. But I only have three more parties to go to and I'm done. If I can make it until January 2, I'm in the clear!
Sounds like you're closing in on the 160s! Hopefully it'll be smooth sailing especially with the holidays coming to a close after the next week or so.

boopchick: Thanks! Here's hoping we both make it to our new decades for the new year!

chanticleer I hope that your remaining parties go well and that you get to your new decade very soon after!! I am going to celebrate Christmas with my moms side of the family today, and I am dreading going crazy. I will just do my best and drink as much water as I can stomach.

I was 172.8 this morning and that was very exciting!! I hope that I can stay there until my official Wednesday weigh in!!

Hello!

Congrats on the new number kfunk! You can do it today. The water strategy is a good one. Have fun!

Chanticleer I get so excited when I make into a new decade then immediately get impatient to get to the next one!

I have 11.6 pounds to go before I can say I've lost 100 pounds. Seems kind of surreal as I'm typing this and makes me realize how far I've come in the past 7 months.

boop wow!! You are amazing to be that close to -100 lbs. down!! Did you have a nice Christmas?

I will weigh in tomorrow to find out the damage. I did awful on Sunday and just bad on Saturday. Yesterday was back on plan though, so there will be no lingering like after Thanksgiving!

Glimpsed the 150s today (159.8), but I don't call it until I've been in the new decade for three consecutive days (my weight varies a lot, so this solution helps). So it may be another week or so before I'm officially in the 150s. Still, it's nice to see the new number. I've been lingering in the 161-162 range.

kfunk: Only two more parties to go now, I'm pretty sure. I hope the party with your mom's side of the family went well!

boop: Very impressive! You've done a lot of hard work! When all is said and done I'll need to lose about 100 lbs from my high weight (a decision made with my doctor), so it's great to read about someone who's almost already done it! Congrats!
