I'm traveling soon and will take a plane to get to my destination. It reminds me that I don't like planes as much while I'm not at my goal weight. Before I gained, planes were fine. The bathroom didn't feel very cramped (relatively, at least), I always had plenty of space in my seat, going down aisles was a breeze. Also, my favorite, I used to lean forward with my head on my knees to sleep. I could rest easily and sleep for hours like that, and it was way more comfortable than trying to lean back in my seat (I can't sleep sitting up, really). I'd almost forgotten it, but I really do miss being able to do that, and I'm looking forward to being able to do it again!

kfunk: the good news is that water weight isn't fat. The bad news is the scale can't tell the difference for a while.

Maggie Thanks for explaining the water thing so well! I can relate to the plane thing. The last time I flew out to CA to see my son was a couple of years ago at my heaviest. It's a great NSV to look forward to!

kfunk The next birthday party is at roller skating rink in a couple of weeks! lol I have a lot more experience doing that but again not for a long time!

I overindulged on Wednesday and I'm still paying for it on the scale. 171.0 this morning.

Hoping to get back to the 160's soon!

Nice to see all of your updates! I am also finding that with more weight coming off I'm more inclined to put myself out there more physically! A nice upward spiral! Nice progress everyone!

I'm slow and steady! Down to 156 this morning!

I overindulged as well for a day and gained almost 3 pounds so bummed but oh well back on the wagon again, you can do it its only a matter of few days or a little week before you get back on those 160s so dont worry.

Break still going well. I assume I'll have a few extra pounds at the end of it just because I'm more relaxed in my eating, but I'm not going wild. I don't want to have to relose like 20 lbs! That's not the whole point of this.

The weather here has been looking sunny and warm and wonderful, but the temperature is still in the 20s. I'm not happy. I want to be able to take long, warm walks. Can't wait for actual spring weather!

boop: Wow, you've got some fun parties to go to! It makes me want to go skating (it's been a while).
I never like when the scale goes up right before/after a new decade - it's very frustrating. But you've got this!

kahaney: I agree that it seems easier to do some things with less weight. Weight loss doesn't solve everything, but it sure as heck helps a lot of stuff.

loveatfirstsight: Glad to have you here! You've had a lot of progress so far - congratulations! I haven't tried low carb before, but lots of people around here love it.

Back down to 169 today.

Good for you kahaney! That's great regarding your progress on the scale and putting yourself out there!!

Welcome loveatfirstsight I've been doing low carb from the start. You've made fantastic progress!

Thanks Chanticleer! Yeah it's so frustrating when you get into a new decade then go up again!

Hi kfunk!

168.1

Definitely less cravings to overeat. I've been on plan since Monday. It helps starting my morning at the gym. Feel like it sets me up for the day in the right frame of mind.

I'm experimenting with a change for the rest of March. I'm increasing my carb limit from 20 to 50 grams while continuing to keep my calories at 1200. I'm curious how my body will respond to this. I've been at 20 since last May when I started.

Have a great day everyone!
