Loose skin and exercise

Hi everyone. I haven't been here in a long time but I'm 75 pounds down. I don't have a specific goal weight in mind but probably want to lose 25 more pounds or so.

One of my issues is this: For lack of a better way to describe it, my loose stomach skin bounces and can be noisy during group workouts. And I know this will only get worse as I lose more weight.

Are there special garments I can wear to prevent this? It's really embarrassing and uncomfortable.

The only thing that I could think of that might be beneficial is invest in a compression garment that they give you after you've had cosmetic surgery. I've lost almost 130 pounds and my lower stomach area keeps getting saggier and saggier. I haven't had to worry about hearing it slap around but I know that eventually I'll have to get one of those too until I can save up the money to have it cut off. Great job on your success!

I know this sounds odd, but a friend of mine who lost 80lb swears by "bib" cycling shorts. You can get ones that look like old fashioned men's swimsuits with straps that go over your shoulders and they really hold things in if you wear them under any gym clothes you may choose to wear & are still breathable which is better for your skin I think. Maybe have a look at them?

I keep reading that your skin can take up to 3 years to bounce back. But I have also read for many people, it never does. I don't have much hope for mine, as I have really stretched my skin out a lot. But at this point in my life, loose skin is better than 80+ extra pounds.

Compression garments will be your friend during workouts. There is a lot of sportswear like this that can hold your stomach in while you work out.
