Good Morning Everyone

Hope everyone had a great weekend. I have today off and I plan on relaxing. I already got my 3 mile walk in this morning. I had a great weekend but ate a little too much yesterday.

This week I'm going to go back to my 3 day fast of only 500 calories. The scale is not moving so I need to shake things up a bit. Hope everyone has a great day!

Curvy, I have been saying this very thing since last week ---> I need to truly learn to "not the sweat the small stuff." Too much time is devoted to things that could be let go of.

winning that's right, give that ole' scale a piece of your mind

Martine and Kukkie Happy Thanksgiving to you

lovemylife do share your menus for the 3 days please

regarding weather, I was in Northern Virginia this weekend and woke up yesterday to 43 degree temps. I told my Mom that Fall came in with a bang up there. We have yet to have temps that low in NC this year and I'm not ready for them either.

weigh in today 175.1 up a lot

love2b150 Here is my menu for the 3 fast days

L- EAS Advantedge Shake (110 cal)
D- Laura Lean Beef Burger (160 cal), slice American cheese (60 cal) and a touch of mustard. I may add a cup of steamed broccoli if I'm really hungry.

Thanks! Feels good - still struggling to get going, but I'm making more efforts each day than I have all summer.

I am looking for something even smaller and furry. Reading about smaller breeds there aren't very many that would do well home alone for 10 hour spans. We won't have any 4 legged additions until at least next spring.
My maltese does stay home for ~10 hours at a time (max). I know his poor little bladder cannot handle it so we put towels down in the crate and it helps keep his messes contained and he won't step in it, etc. He does #2 outside only - he was very quick to get on a routine with that - he goes 3 times a day - twice in the morning and 1 before bed, so it's just urine during the day on the towel. His bladder doesn't hold a lot, so it's very small messes on the towels. His personality is incredible. My cousin also has a maltese and its the same way - so very playful. I've had play dates with female malteses and they are a bit calmer, but still so overly sweet. They are attached to their owners (both genders) but they are sociable dogs with a lot of love to give!

As for me - up a couple more pounds. Seeing a new doctor this week and hoping to get on track and get some help with a new eating plan, accountability, and some focus.

Happy Monday everyone!!

lovemylife, I wonder if I could do that for just one day!?!? ... humm. If I do I will let you know Thanks for the menu
I just copied your menu onto another thread. Another post-er and I both said we need to detox and get our butts in gear. I think this may do it (but only if I can stick with it for the day)

Well lets try this again!

I hit the wrong button.

I had a busy weekend! Friday night was a paint n sip fund raiser for my grandson's preschool. My mom and went to supper before, unfortunately my daughter in law wasnt able to join us for supper. There is a lovely restuarant near where they live that is on the shore of a beautiful lake. My son and daughter in law had their wedding recetion there and I go there any chance I get. I had grilled shrinmp and vegetables. I forgot to tell them no butter on the veggies. But otherwise I was on plan. At the paint and sip I did have one bloody mary. My daughter in law, mother and I had a great time! We all were happy with our paintings. I love to paint and am glad I have started again.

Sunday it was hot here, 88 degrees. I went for a 3.5 mile walk, left at 11:45 am. It was hot!! In the afternoon hubby and I sighted in my deer rifle. Just over a month until I go deer hunting for the first time. Then despite the lovely day, we started work on the living room. I had to clean out my art/craft room so we could move furniture in there. Hubby took everything but the clock off the walls. and we moved nearly all the furniture out. We will be painting the ceiling and walls and getting new carpet. With any luck I will get new furniture next spring.

It is often said if you don't like the weather in Minnesota stick around a couple hours, it will change. And change it did! Yesterday was cloudy, the high was 57, and that was at 7:30 in the morning winds were 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph. I opted to go to the gym rather than walk. I did 60 minutes on the elliptical!! I wanted to quite after 25, but I just focused on my tunes and kept telling myself go 5 more minutes and see how you feel. I was so glad when I made it through the full 60 minutes!

winning I love your positive attitude. Just take it one day at a time you will succeed!

curvy Regarding stress, there is a stress hormone, I believe cortisol, (but I may have the name wrong) that does cause you to hold on to or even gain weight. When I was looking into bariatric surgery a few years back that was one of the things my bariatric doctor discussed with me.

kukkie A gym at work with only $50 annual membership! SCORE!! I would love that!

lovemylife Good Luck on the 500 cal/day. I am not sure I could do that. Although your meal plan looked pretty good. I wish I could away from eating after 5 pm. Many nights we don't eat supper until 8:30 or 9:00. By the time I get home from work, get my exercise in, and get supper made it is late. Also there are many nights hubby doesn't get home until 7:30 and he doesn't want to eat right away.

Weight didn't move much over the weekend, but I saw a big drop this morning. I guess that elliptical paid off! Plan on going to gym afterwork again tonight!

Morning everyone! Late check-in for me here.

Weighed in at 209.5 this morning. Meh it was Thanksgiving (thanks Rennie). Didn't necessarily overeat, but had some heavier than usual foods. Today is also my belated welcome lunch with the new team. But I have meals planned for the next couple of days before we leave, so I shouldn't be too bad. And then Friday is the day we travel. Totally missed the mark on my goal to get into the low 90s before leaving, but whatever. Can't let it hold me down. I've submitted my cheque for the gym at work, so my card will be activated by the time I get back from vacation. It'll be a great way to start fresh!!! I can't wait.

KateB Sounds like you had a great weekend. I love going to the paint and sip events. I've done the IF fast before. I was doing it up until a month ago when I just got comfortable because I'm so close to goal. So, I decided to pick it up again and get these last 2 pounds off.

I love the elliptical. I actually have two of them. One in the basement and one in the garage, so when it's decent whether I can exercise outside. Today, I did my 45 minute walk and a 20 minute stretching dvd.

Thanks winning . I am learning that my planning ahead doesn't work for more than a day. I couldn't do the Military Diet for three days, tried twice. I did Dukan for three days and then fell off the wagon. So maybe the ONE DAY AT A TIME has to be my way

Martine, glad you liked the kickboxing/ballet and good for you for even doing a second workout after not liking the first

lovemylife, thanks for the I just ate breakfast. I had to be at work at 2am this morning. Had a busy day at work. I ate eggs (it was an egg pattie), 3 strips of bacon with a slice of American cheese. I have the Slim Fast powder so I put one scoop in 8ozs of water and then poured it into my coffee. I have only had 5 cups of water today so far. And not sure what dinner will be. lovemylife, look at you, I need to be near you Good job on the walk

Kate good for you on the elliptical. I barely last 10 minutes on it before my knees start to hurt and I get off. You did great Good job on the scale

Kukkie, I so wish I had that gym convenience Glad it's there for you. Enjoy lunch

I ate a ton of stuff yesterday and the scale was down 1lb. Trying to stay OP today, so let's see what my reward will be tomorrow. Have to be at work early tomorrow also.
