YAY! Someone is here to talk to! Welcome NurseMom, I can't wait for you to join me in what has been a lonely forum. I weighed in at 266 today, so I'm making progress.

Good luck getting here! I'm at 264.4 today. I made it through Easter without going over my calorie goal, which is HUGE for me. I'm entering the danger zone of dieting, when the weight is not coming off as easily as it did in the beginning and I start getting a little bored with what I have been eating. I need to find some new recipes to work into my rotation.

Brandnewday! Congratulations on moving on to the 250s!! Whoop Whoop!!

I MADE IT! 269.8, just by the skin of my teeth, but, I am here!

What type of diet are you on? I'm on LCHF with intermittent fasting. My job keeps me from fasting like I want. I'm on-call from Fri evening till Monday morning, so, there is no routine of eating/sleeping/working. My last day for this job in next week.

Looking forward to normalcy. (Whatever that is!)

When I am on a good week, fasting 16 hrs a day (6pm-10am) I see progress, then the work week hits (every-other-week) and it all goes out the window.

Yay! You're here! I knew I would see you soon! Congratulations on making it, and just remember, you will never weigh 270 again .

I am counting calories. It's boring, but it's the only thing that really works for me. I eat at least 1000, but no more than 1400; it varies by the day. I just started the 6th week of this diet, and so far the weight is coming off at a nice clip and I'm not too hungry. My SIL had luck with the fasting method, I think 5/2 or something like that? I've never tried.

I was 260.4 this morning, getting closer!

Brandnewday, very good, c.l.o.s.e.r!! You'll be half way outta here! Whoop, whoop!!

Yes, 5:2 is one way, and I don't do it that way. I do 16:8, fast for 6pm-10am daily. This will be my third week. I was do the Carbohydrates Addict Diet, and I think my body just doesn't want ANY carbs. As soon as I eat them, the weight loss comes to a screeching halt.

268.8! What!? Yup, that is awesome. I'm almost 1/2 way to my mini-goal for June.

I do eat the carbs in veggies, though. They do not slow me down at all, thank God, because I love veggies!

I was 260.4 again today. I was disappointed, because I really wanted to get under 260, but maybe tomorrow.

I don't enjoy the veggies so much, and I've actually not eaten enough of them this week. I have been eating fruit, but tomorrow had better be salad day, I'm thinking.

I guess I'm closer to a fast than I thought! I try to stop eating for the night sometime between 7 and 8, and most days don't eat breakfast until after 9.

Way to go on the loss!

Hi, Mara!

I hit 3 milestones this week. I lost 10% of body weight, 30 lbs, and as of today I am out of the 260's. It has been a very hard week for me, and I'm fighting every day to stay on track. Weighed in this morning at 259.0.

Hi Brandnewday! Congrats on the milestones!

I originally lost 60 pounds but as you can see it has slowly come back on. But I am keeping at it. I want to be healthier.

Brandnewday, Congratulations on everything you have accomplished! Whoop! Whoop!

Hi Mara I hope you are finding the strength you need to stay on course! When I feel like I'm at a weak point, I look back on my progress (and LOOK AT YOUR PROGRESS!!) and think about how far I've come, and tell myself I can keep going. Even if I've messed up a meal/a day/a week.

Good morning!

After a long, hungry weekend I weighed in today at 258.0 This is the most successful diet I have ever been on, and I started dieting 35 years ago, when I was "fat" at 140. I am entering the danger phase of my diets - the weight stops falling off and I have losses of 1lb or less for the week. I vow not to let it happen this time, but please think good thoughts for me. I'll need them!

Mara, you have accomplished a lot, and I know you will be successful again. It certainly is one day at a time, isn't it?

NurseMom, thanks for the congratulations. I hope all is well with you?

Hi ladies! You are both right. It is easy to feel down, but it is important to look how far you've come and where you are heading.

So with that, let's work hard to get to the next decade!
